I was just thinking, we already have the Orange prices right? Well wont T-Mobiles prices just mirror these so not to kill each others sales???

Orange and T-Mobile are explicitly allowed to compete with each other. They make savings from the soon merger of their networks to more strongly compete with Vodafone, Three and O2. Three, however will benefit as they have a sharing arrangement with T-Mobile who are now going to be sharing with Orange :p

I was passing my local Vodafone shop this morning, so I popped in and asked about the MicroSIM.

I was told that once I've bought my iPhone 4 (from Apple, in my case) and they actually see it, then they'll switch my account over to a MicroSIM there and then. The process will take a matter of seconds with the old SIM being deactivated and the new MicroSIM being brought on-line. I was even shown one of their MicroSIMs. Vodafone's do not have the option to snap-out as either standard SIM or MicroSIM form factor, so the new SIM won't fit in my 3GS and I'll be off-network until I get my iPhone 4 set up.

yeah i called at around 4 and they are sending me a PAYG micro-sim along with an adapter, and the guy goes it will arrive before the 24th. so keep trying to call them. :)

Thanks for that. I called at around 3.15. Which number did you call? I called 450, pressed "2", then "4" and spoke to someone in a call centre overseas.

How big a store are you? Do you know any numbers? White or Black?

Catergory C, so fairly big, and we don't know actual numbers yet, will know by next monday, as for Black/White not sure either yet. As it's all up in the air, all we have been told is it's a small order so later opening and it seems network stores are being told the same aswell.

Okay, girlfriend reserved her 16GB iPhone 4 Black on P&G yesterday evening for collection at the Lakeside store. Had the confirmation screen like the one below, but no confirmation email (have others had them?). She called the store just now and they said she won't get an email until the 24th! When I look under orders at the online store or reservations at the Lakeside store, there is no mention of it anywhere! A little concerned...

Ok, thanks for the feedback.

I have a choice of stores at a nearby mall which has every store, including a CPW (the CPW isn't very big though). It's good to know that at least some stores are getting some stock but I feel some people will be disappointed on the day.

I don't understand why most of the people here have reserved their phone to pick up on the 24th and not choosing free delivery instead ?
No queue, no wake up early, no useless O2 store staff to talk to....and no complaints on this forum !!!!

That picture is the "confirmation email", I got an email after reserving yesterday and it looks the same as ur image

Are you hoping to get a micro sim on launch day or will you just cut your existing simplicity sim? Hopefully O2 send out some of these prior to launch day.

was told by local o2 store that they will have micro-sims available for o2 customers in-store 24/6 onwards. if they don't i'll cut my sim. i've also ordered a free iPad o2 sim to use as a stencil but it may take 14 days apparently:

if it doesn't arrive, no probs - cutting sim with scissors seems very easy indeed; messed with an old sim earlier and it didn't take much effort to cut straight.

I need to upgrade my contract, so home delivery is a no go.

I'll see you at Vicky square that morning then!
I really hope they don't do the over-the-top American "High five as you leave the store" thing, I don't know if i'll be able to control the urge to punch someone if they do

yep - same here. i got that as an email. just call them and verify that your name/email address is on the reservations list...or did they say that's not possible yet?
