Cutting my old SIM down to Micro Sim

They make notes on your account when you talk to them. Ask them to specifically note this... that's the closest you'll get to 'in writing'.

It's the same thing as if you lost or damaged your current simcard... they'd just send you a new one. Only difference is that the new one this time is a microsim.

I have just had another email from O2 not answering my question about whether the new sim is an upgrade, they simply refer me to their website.

Everything I read on the O2 website refers to Upgrading to the Iphone 4, I am by nature a very suspicious person, so I'll stick with my no risk Sim chop as I do hope to get an Ipad at some time and it would be nice to use the same sim in both.

On a lighter note, I am very excited about getting the new phone, it will be a major upgrade from my old 3g

oh ffs im not that stupid, i DID call o2 and check they organised the micro sim, and the order is showing on my 02..

platinum team said that a different call centre were handling this, as the platinum team take incoming calls mostly..

sigh... you will see.

get real.

Hey guys.

went to a o2 store and I asked for a micro sim.

She asked to see my email and then asked was there any reference number with that email! Obviously o2 have had little or no communication or maybe she was just misinformed. My email was a in store reservation with Apple.

Anyway she logged my details and handed over a micro sim. Just registered it on o2's website and I'm just waiting for it to swap over.

Anyway.

P4U were tacking these up outside there shop. On the way back the shop and bus stop opposite were just covered with them.

did anyone else lose all their visual voicemail after transferring to the new microsim from o2?

Nope, picked up a microsim from the Sheffield O2 store. They did the transfer for me in the shop and everything including visual voicemail was switched over and works the same.

The only difference I've noticed on my account is that I now have an additional bolt on (£40 oversees data limit) which I'm pretty sure wasn't there this morning.

Next thing they'll be saying is that volcano insurance is included on simplicity tariffs

BUT my mate got a call from a guy last night i cant remember the number, he paid £5 a month extra for volcano insurance... ITS TRUEEEEE believe me ;);) :D bahahah

So your current contract is now on a microSIM? no need to switch to the wallet raping new contracts?

I hope you don't get your ID stolen by giving them your address for your 'free sim'

It's a con, a scam, false, zilch, no go.... but up to you to believe it really is O2, and you're that special !!!

Well, at least ONE person we know of believes it. :)

Although, some guy has posted what looks like an order page screen grab on the O2 forum... he has the nickname "dodgy"

Don't you just sometimes get the feeling that 'the scammed' just deserve to get scammed?

No matter how much you tell them it's a scam, they don't believe you !!

You will see. I just phoned again. 02 platinum. Is genuine.

Also note a change in insurance. Still £15 a month but excesses on a rising scale depending on how many times you claim in a year.
Sounds very expensive.
And no I can't do a screen shot. Am out. Typing this on my phone.

I don't lie nor have I been scammed. Was only trying to offer some help to others.
It will come in the wash. I have been a member here for a while never posted bs and I am not stupid enough to fall for scams
