Not wanting to state the obvious but why arnt some of u just going along with your iphone to o2 on thursday morning and say upgrade me? all this microsim crap LOL.
 
I couldn't swap my sim out for micro the web site kept on saying the serial I entered is wrong, now I've ran out of codes they can send me to mobile daily... What a pile of rubbish :mad:

Chances are you've been given the wrong sim pack mate.

Nip into an O2 store and ask them to give you the correct sim, and do the transfer for you :)
 
They will have a micro sim in the iphone 4 box, will transplant it all over for you on the day. simples.
 
Got my micro sim from O2 shop in Watford. Swapped it over online almost instantly, in my 3G now ready:)

Transferred my 3GS (expires Dec 2010) to it via the form on the website in about ten minutes. Now sitting working happily in my 3GS (still in the full size press out, no separate adaptor) waiting for Thursday.

Despite the experience of many, I've found both Apple and O2 to be well organised during since pre order day.

Any angst I've felt has come from reading this thread!

Got my microsim pack from O2 Shop on Great Western Road, Glasgow. Staff were aware of the new sim and asked for email confirmation of order which I called up on my iPhone. Took 2 mins to swap number between sims at home.

The only reason I wanted to do it now is based on past events and issues with activating phones and being unprepared for the amount of customers i’m just expecting O2’s sim swap service to be crazy busy thursday and don’t want to have to wait ages to be able to use my new iPhone :p

Well, post a screenshot when you get in then. And post a photo of your iPhone 4 on Thursday. Then we'll believe you.

What did you have tyo do to make this happen? I registered for updates on the O2 website and keep getting email updates from them. Is that all I have to do?

1) having mine delivered sim free from Apple
2) want to stay on my current simplicity 20 tariff, unlimited internet/data
3) really don't fancy queuing just for a micro-sim for all the madness on Thursday
4) now that I already have my sim, and it's activated, all I have to do, is pop it into the new iPhone 4 when it's delivered to my home on my BIRTHDAY 24th June !!!

/job done!

that's why.
