So where are people who don't have a reservation with the apple store in Glasgow going?

I was thinking the o2 shop in Sachiehall street or the CPW in Buchanan Gallaries. I live in Edinburgh but work in Glasgow and the earliest train will only get me there for 6.40-6.50 or so :(

If you're getting up that early to catch the train through, why not go to o2 in Edinburgh?? When you're sitting on the train for that hour the queue outside o2 and Apple shop will be getting bigger and bigger. You could be at the front of the queue in Edi. Then you might actually get to work earlier! (less queueing)

just got a micro sim from o2 store. Called 2302 for customer services and they switched over the sims within 1 minute of getting off of the phone! Quite impressed! Also managed to get my simplicity bill down to £15 per month by signing up for 12months (Although i now have to pay 20p per MMS )

Argos iTunes Offer

Anyone wanting to take advantage of the Argos iTunes offer that ends today (2x£15 cards for £20), make sure you print details of the offer to take into the store with you. I reserved a couple and asked my wife to pick them up, but they said she could only have them if she had the 'voucher' (even though they knew of the offer). They wouldn't even accept the code, though YMMV. Better safe than sorry though!

Yeah, was thinking of maybe doing that.

Buchanan Galleries car park is a rip off. Try the Concert Square car park beside it, its a cheaper council run one.

Concert Square is a good choice, I've not parked in the Galleries for a long time so no idea what the current costs are. The other car park I recommended is cheap and offers a flat day rate for £5.

King Street NCP
Mon-Sun 24 hours
£2.60 / 1 hour
£3.80 / 2 hours
£4.80 / 4 hours
£5.00 / day

Concert Square
Mon-Sat 24 hours
£1.20 / 1 hour
£2.40 / 2 hours
£3.60 / 3 hours
£2.40 / additional hour

Just saw a UPS van stop outside my house.

Got my hopes up.

Then I realised I haven't had a dispatch notification and it isn't even Thursday yet. *sigh*

If Apple ship out tonight from Holland/Cork/Northampton - we might get them tomorrow morning :D

I believe people in US are now getting them tomorrow with combined emails/FedEx tracking numbers and WallMart getting iPhones delivered

Also Buchanan Galleries doesnt open till 0745! Not much use for early queueing up. Galleries wants £6 for over 3 hrs i think.

If one may interrupt, I am not defending anyone but why should he go to such lengths to prove anything to anyone, especially. As mentioned before he goes to Oxford Uni, it might not be the "infamous" one, but one of their many colleges/schools.

I agree! The amount of bickering and tall poppy syndrome being exhibited on this forum is ridiculous. He's proud of what he's doing and, whatever college or university he attends, he has every right to be.

I should also say that this really isn't very fair. Just because ct2k7 is making up that he goes there and thus wants to show off about his fake life as much as possible, doesn't mean everyone who goes there is as bad.

By the way, he could prove he goes to Oxford by print screening his result from this website: http://whatismyipaddress.com/. It identifies what ISP you're on, and your location, which would prove us wrong. I'm not expecting him to post though.

WTF get a life.

I wonder if the UPS drivers are warned in advance about Thursday, or if they'll just turn up to work in the morning, look at their run sheets and keel over?

I'm just grateful that the release date wasn't Wednesday - can you imagine how many drivers will be taking leave or pulling a sicky to watch England try to save themselves?

I just went and collected my O2 microsim from New Street Brimingham O2 store. Showed my confirmation email and gave the guy a few details. I went to the O2 page to swap my sim and it activated my microsim instantly! It stated that it may take up to 24hrs, but im impressed they are processing them straight away.

Looks like O2 really DOES want to keep their customers.... But it is just a temporary measure for me until I get my giffgaff sim cut down!

just got my micro sim from an o2 store, came with a little adapter (not in the envelope, they gave me it separately) so snapped it out of the holder and put it in the adaptor, just waiting for the sim swap to happen. did it via the online form :)

If the iPhones are being dispatched from Hollyhill or even Holland it's a good sign, it means that they've been manufacturing them for at least a little while and have had time to move them to distribution centres... they're not just coming straight from the factory in China!

Oxford Colleges ARE the university and they're all pretty much as 'infamous' as each other as part of the grander Oxford University.

He doesn't go to Oxford, in any way, shape or form.

Which 02 store was that? As i asked for one yesterday and the lady didn't have a clue what i was on about.

"Breaking News: VAT is to rise from 17.5% to 20% from 4 January next year, the chancellor announces."

Because we all check this thread more often than the BBC :p
