Just phoned up Orange and managed to upgrade to the 16GB. Should be here Thursday or Friday. Good times!

From Glasgow here... Apple.com showing as 'prepared for shipment'. Changed some time today to this status.

p.s. the Scottish Highlands weren't guaranteed delivery on launch for obvious reasons but the rest of Scotland has the same delivery time frame as the rest of the UK.

I do hope that's the case. I've had no email to say I won't get mine on the 24th. On the 25th I fly to London, then on to Paris, so it must arrive on the 24th (or sooner).

How did you manage that ? I phoned an hour ago and was told no upgrades or orders until at least the 24th ! Well done though :)

Was on the avforums site and saw that a few people had been able to pre-order. Thought I'd give it a try, nothing to lose and was gobsmacked when I (eventually) got to speak to a customer services person and was offered the upgrade there and then.

They did say they had no white phones.

Still no update from T-Mobile in regards to the iPhone 4 when I phoned them today, looks like we wont be seeing anything from them for launch day

Just picked up a micro sim from an O2 store and did the whole swap my sim thing. Question: when do I know when to pull out the old sim and put in the new one?

Any help would be much appreciated.

When the old one stops working.

You are supposed to leave the old sim in until it says 'no service', however, I gave it a couple of mins and then put the new one in and it worked straight away.

I ordered a new sim only contract thursday... should have been here saturday but thanks to the royal mail it came today. wuupp wuuppp

Ahh ok then. I ordered a replacement MicroSIM. Just hope it arrives by Thurs or I'll have to cut mine down.

No, it did state the whole of Scotland wasnt guaranteed. Thats pretty much the reason why I didnt preorder and went with a reservation instead at the Apple shop.

What number did you call? 150?

Pretty sure it didn't, my order status has changed to 'prepared for shipment' indicating delivery on or before Thursday. I read 'Scottish Highlands' wouldnt get deliveries on launch but not Scotland as a whole.

The networks are being completely rubbish!

o2 nor the Carphone Warehouse are selling any iPhones over the phone or online - just in shops so anyone who has to go to work has no chance of getting one.

Vodafone are saying nothing, 3 are going to be selling over the phone and online if you want to go to them.

I just spoke to a lovely man at o2 customer services who tells me that the website should have news of the stock going to the stores tomorrow. Also he says that provided i'm there for the store opening he doesn't think i'll have any problems getting a phone.

Oh and he also tells me that only the franchise stores would be able to have a reserve list like some people have mentioned as they make their own rules, o2 company owned stores are operating on a first come first served basis.
