Pretty sure it didn't, my order status has changed to 'prepared for shipment' indicating delivery on or before Thursday. I read 'Scottish Highlands' wouldnt get deliveries on launch but not Scotland as a whole.
It did specifically say on the preorder page that Scotland and Northern Ireland were excluded from the guaranteed delivery time, but despite receiving the dreaded email, I still reckon it'll come. There is absolutely no reason it shouldn't, unless Apple have mismanaged this somehow.
 
Was on the avforums site and saw that a few people had been able to pre-order. Thought I'd give it a try, nothing to lose and was gobsmacked when I (eventually) got to speak to a customer services person and was offered the upgrade there and then.

They did say they had no white phones.

Just spoke to Orange CS again, confirmed that some are able to order the upgrade but only if they have received a text with a unique upgrade code. These people were part of the first batch to register interest and have therefor received the code before others.

Did you receive the text before upgrading ?
 
Just wanted to say I'm so impressed with o2. Ordered an iPhone simplicity plan last week, got it yesterday, went into o2 store today with my apple order conformation and walked out five minutes later with a microsim. Activated online in a couple of minutes and now all ready for Thursday. Top marks for o2, shame some of their store staff are a couple of steps behind but it's probably unfair to compare em to someone who frequents this forum :D

How long did that take? I ordered one yesterday, still waiting.

I ordered a new sim only contract thursday... should have been here saturday but thanks to the royal mail it came today. wuupp wuuppp

I ordered on Thursday too. CS told me they'd post it on the 21st by 1st class post. It seems they were as good as their word.

Also, I received an email from Apple this morning, reminding me that I've got an iPhone 4 reserved for me until close of play on Thursday, just in case it had slipped my mind.

Everything's going according to plan!

thats about 130 a day/8 per hour (if you're up 16 hours a day)/ 1 EVERY 7.5 minutes...

I'd be feeling slightly more warm and glowing towards O2 had they not sent me someone else's PAC this morning then disconnected me at lunchtime...

Them: 'Er....you didn't request a PAC then?'

What would stop you passing a credit check (all new to this). And also, can you have 2 contracts on one bank account?

I did register early but didn't receive a code. I am eligible for upgrade though.

Just make sure you take your apple order number in with you or they won't release the sim, even if you've got all the o2 stuff with you. Oh, and good luck!
 
CPW are doing phone orders right now.

The networks are being completely rubbish!

o2 nor the Carphone Warehouse are selling any iPhones over the phone or online - just in shops so anyone who has to go to work has no chance of getting one.

Vodafone are saying nothing, 3 are going to be selling over the phone and online if you want to go to them.

I agree the networks have been rubbish so far, not one person I have spoken too at any network has given the same answer. I had a text this morning saying, you have been selected for an upgrade, we will call today or tomorrow. 6PM I get a call from CPW, they hang up! So I call CPW customer services to ask how to get back to them, and am told it is not possible, the text was a company error, no phone orders will be happening, and only a limited number of CPW store will have stock accross the UK.

Well whadya know, CPW just called me back at 9pm, 32gb Black iPhone 4 on its way to me on Thursday by DHL.

The moral - don't assume that what the customer service staff tell you is correct.

i'm on hold now, unsurprisingly they're 'experiencing a high volume of calls'

Worrying thing is I don't know what my password is the automated message asked for!

Hmm, wish they would ring me then. The guy I spoke to was adamant all 15,000 phones were going to stores and no new stock before July 2nd.
 
Ok i got my new micro-sim from O2 and want to setup my new sim card. I want to know how do i take the contacts stored on my sim and put them onto my new sim card so that i can still use my new micro-sim with an adapter in other phones and still have my contacts with me!?

I know itunes will prob sync contacts to my new iPhone 4 but want to have them on my sim. Just afraid that when i activate micro-sim and the other one is dead then i will lose all my sim saved numbers
 
Not sure what I should do on Thursday really....

I have a reservation for a SIM-Free 32GB at Apple. However, my O2 contract (iPhone Simplicity £20 30-day) is currently on a normal SIM card in my 3GS. I went to the O2 store today to get a Micro-SIM card but they had run out! Also despite registering on the O2 website as-soon as it went live, I have not been sent one.

Will Apple have Micro-SIMS like O2 have [apparently] had this week on Thursday? I don't want a new contract or anything, just my current contract transferred onto a Micro-SIM.


Or I'll take a knife with me to work...

Likewise Jammers, I was told that not all stores would get phones, so dont bother going early. thats why I was so surprised to get the text and then phone call this evening. It would seem that demand for information is high, but the networks havent properly filtered the full and correct information to all staff handling enquiries, therefore, much mis information is going around.

If it makes any difference, I was called off the back of a pre order enquiry on the CPW website over a week ago. Or at least thats what the sales woman said in her opening pitch!

How long has everyone else been on hold with Orange for?

I a premier customer and normally get through instantly and i've been on hold for 30mins now.

Yeah, but they have the second amendment, and are rather attached to it. Personally, I don't mind the wait, as I'm still waiting for my micro SIM from Orange, which I didn't manage to order (thanks to Orange's awful customer services) until Thursday.
