Just picked up two micro sim's for me and the wife...... Had to show my order reference number to get them.

My order is still stating 'Not Yet Shipped' and i ordered at 09.44am June 15th...... Delivery date states 24th

have you tried the US store.. mine said prepared for shipment.

Edit : thanks Pushkar

so why say "delivers by june 24th" on order confirmation? and on the order status page ?

you just got the standard eMail...same as everyone else!

Honestly...I *really* hope you get it on the 24th because I'd be super pissed if i had to wait after all this but like I said I wasn't prepared to take the risk!

Thanks for replying me. :)

So the money has back to your available balance now? Cos I am not sure whether it was the same happen, cos it didnt show anything on the statement.

and the Apple Expert on the Apple chat just told me :

When you place your order, Apple request authorisation to charge the order amount from your credit card company. Once we have received approval, Apple reserve the amount on your card until all items are available and your order has shipped. Your card will be charged when your order has shipped.:eek:

Yes the money is part of my available balance at the moment. Nothing is on my statement either, the money will probably be taken when the dispatch email is sent. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

i think it's a ****ing joke some US customers who ordered AFTER us have had theirs delivered today. Apple way to go at pissing off your customers who wait to pre-order online before others to get it 1st. W.@.N.K.3.R.5.

Yes Scottish customers were. No big deal. One day late but still guaranteed to get one. Fair trade off.

Im in Scotland, received an email from apple today saying that it would be after the 24th but checking the apple store US it says Prepared for Shipment - deliver on 24

Sorry to here that mate, it'll only be a day or so late.

I'm in Edinburgh and tremble every time I refresh my email. I ordered Jun 15, 2010 at 01:42 AM PDT so pretty darn early.

Here's hoping mine is 24th delivery

Did you try phoning Apple Victoria Square? Im upgrading my contract at Victoria square also although mine is not an early upgrade

I couldn't get through to them earlier but I have read other forums and they are confident that Apple will be upgrading contracts on Launch Day.

O2's terms and conditions state that they add the additional termination fee into the price of the phone so I can't see it being a problem if they have access to o2's facilities then an early upgrade should be possible...

Don't get me wrong, i do hope it is delivered on the 24th, my iPad was delivered 1 day early by TNT at launch, so the estimated delivery dates in all honesty are garbage. Just speculation but are Apple putting a possible 1 day hold on these area's stated to assist with the iPhone Activation demands on the 24th?

Woulda been nice to get delivery on the 23rd, but I'll settle for Thursday. It's what I anticipated anyway.

Chill, it's just a phone! Besides which, Apple is a US company - they could easily have started with the iPhone 4 being US only like they did with the iPad. I guarantee you that your life is no worse off because some people in the US have received a phone before you have.

Orange PAYG at launch?

Last week I popped into an Orange store and was told they would be selling the iPhone 4 on PAYG on launch day. However, this page at AVForums apparently states that the iPhone 4 will NOT be available from Orange on launch day.

http://www.avforums.com/forums/iphone/1273796-iphone-4-uk-price-comparison-table.html

Who is right?
Someone here reported about 10 pages back that they had been into an Orange shop and were told no PAYG on launch day. I'm on an informal Orange shop list for a PAYG so I'm hoping this is wrong. I plan to revisit my local shop tomorrow and ask them about the rumours.

That's a really nice summary thread that you linked to.

Agree ^

Why is this a joke? What concern is it to you when others (in another country) get their goods delivered. Presumably you ordered for delivery on thursday and your expectations at the point of order were that your iphone would be delivered on thursday, and it will, so i dont see why this is a joke or why any customer (never mind an apple customer) would need to be pissed off when the goods they order are delivered on the delivery day specified at the point of order. Get a grip sunshine

As irrational as this is i kinda agree with him. Our phones have been sitting in some warehouse in Ireland since last week and yet we won't see them till Thurs whilst someone has theirs in hand two days early despite being shipped all the way from China. To add to the insult some are being told they wont even get theirs on Thurs!

Again irrational but i'm still irritated/jealous.

Apathy for me now. *shrug*

Well just got my Email sent tonight @ 17:24 to advise

Your delivery address is in an area where our carrier transit times are slightly longer. We expect to deliver your Order after the 24th June.

Delivered to Belfast N.I. But to be honest I never had any warnings regarding the delay that everyone talked about. In fact the first I heard about it was a guy in work to told me and I thought he was pulling my leg. Now a bit peeved that it turns out to be true. :( I could've reserved one for pick up at the :apple: shop. Thought it would be easier to have it delivered especially with all the previous Ipad's etc being delivered a day early.

Ah well, here's hoping they're just covering their backs and it gets delivered on the 24th. Good luck everyone.....roll on Thursday !!

From Glasgow here... Apple.com showing as 'prepared for shipment'. Changed some time today to this status.

p.s. the Scottish Highlands weren't guaranteed delivery on launch for obvious reasons but the rest of Scotland has the same delivery time frame as the rest of the UK.

Thanks for that, Julian. I'll take it for what it's worth - a rumour. Still, this is MacRumors, so the right place for it, I guess!

I was in my local Orange store and asked if I could put my name down on a list. They said no - that it was first come, first serve and that they would be doing PAYG on launch day. I guess I'll find out for sure shortly after 9am on Thursday.

I wonder what are the chances of a mass overnight dispatch and everyone waking up to dispatch e-mails and delivery vans?

Wouldn't that be nice..
