The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

Just had a call from the local Orange shop, they are holding a reservation for me tomorrow. Hopefully will pickup at 9am when they open.
 
I take it people who have started getting iPhones early today have UPS as their courier? Has anyone with TNT got theirs yet?
 
Sorry if this has already been asked but i've only just pre ordered my iPhone from the Apple website. What happens to the money in my account and when do Apple finally take the money from my account?

This is despite the fact that I live in a busy town between both Manchester and Birmingham that every single courier is able to offer a next day (even before 9:30) delivery service to. I can even arrange now for UPS to deliver something to me from London tomorrow, so how Apple's transit times are slightly longer (even though they never have been in the past), I just don't know.

Anyway, should the fact that my order status says this give me some hope that I might still get my phone tomorrow despite what Apple have told me?

NightFox. I'm near you in Northwich and my delivery is still on schedule for tomorrow. I've not received any emails and my UPS deliveries come from Deeside. If yours come from the same depot you may be ok.

From reading the last few pages it looks like only guys with UPS delivery are getting their's early.

But it is only 11.35am so we all have until 5.00pm really before we know for definite.

mine arrived today and was shipped 2day aswell and the money still hasnt come out, guess they will take it out tomorrow or friday

You're absolutely right. I edited my post (with much embarrassment) about 5 minutes ago.

In any event, I've just phoned Tesco Mobile and they say that those tariffs are fake. They don't have any information on the iPhone 4 yet.
 
Got my email at 1am. Shipment status page says dispatched 22nd June. Order details page says shipped on 23rd June as does the invoice when printed.

I'm with TNT going to Kings Cross in North London. Still nothing arrived. Expecting it tomorrow, don't often get afternoon deliveries at work.

Thanks, I sometimes get UPS stuff from Deeside, sometimes from Stoke so I'm not sure on this one. Really don't understand why it can't be delivered tomorrow. Fingers crossed, but I'm not optimistic as I can't see Apple having sent me that email for no reason. Strangely, everyone else who got the same email seemed to be in Scotland or Northern Ireland, and there always was a note in the ordering process saying that orders from these places might not be delivered on 24th. It definitely didn't mention Whitchurch though!

Ive got mine reserved.

Can you see two different queues though? One for those just turning up and one for those reserving it?

02086175910 was the number that called me for the upgrade. Try it and see??

Also, my cousin who also bought his iPhone 3G from CPW was told that he couldn't upgrade now but he can register for the next delivery. The only difference was that he spent £35 a month and I spent £45.

I had a missed call from the same number, and it does go through to CPW for anyone interested. If you're waiting on CPW, don't ignore that number! :)
 
Gah, i gotta drive my dad to the train station. Im going to leave a note on the door telling the delivery man to wait if he comes, hopefully he does! :)

I hope they are fake, as if there not i'll be returnign my Apple SIM free and going Tesco Pay&Go.

If they are real why would Tesco give 1GB Data on Pay & Go and o2 is 500mb. Same network no?
