Anyone who's going to Manchester Arndale tomorrow who wants to swap their 32GB reservation for a 16GB one?

Worth a shot..! :p

(Edit: Called the store, said I can only buy the one I reserved but I'm welcome to join the general sales queue and try my luck there first. Also said if I bought my reservation, I can't swap it same day, even if it's still sealed etc.. seems odd)

just been to my local phones4u and vodafone. they say they are getting 60 and 12 respectively, including white.... make of that what you will!

Guys, as hard as I tried, can't keep up with this thread :(

I'm sure this has probably been answered before... I just received an O2 micro-SIM, it arrived in the post, I've been anxiously waiting since Monday, as I've registered for O2 updates pretty early on.

So I eagerly opened the envelope, and now I'm not sure I've been sent the correct thing.

On the packaging, it says "O2 Mobile Broadband, Micro SIM for Apple iPad", and in the corner it says "Pay & Go".

Did they send me a wrong SIM, and if so, is there a way of getting around the problem, or is it useless to me?

Thanks!

it is useless, I had the same issue. You need to get on that says Pay Monthly And Business. That's what mine says

Face it, many English folk can't stand football. Never understood why straight blokes enjoy watching semi naked men get muddy chasing a lump of leather round a field. Closet issues maybe?

Ladies tennis, that's a different kettle of fish;)

See, you've just taken the words out of my mouth - I'm usually the one saying there's an issue with blokes cheering at other blokes, chasing a sack of air around a piece of grass..

But I'm still very patriotic..and with all the negative ongoings in the UK lately, it'd be nice for everyone to have something to be positive about, eh? :)

But yes, I shall return to the mentality of a 15 year old: Can I use an iPad SIM in my iP4?
Are o2 doing pre-orders, what time should I get to the shop to collect my preorder and will they lock the phone?

We can only discuss the above so many times.

I'm in Edinburgh and my UPS tracking status still shows 'Billing Information Received' I spoke to UPS and my iPhone could be picked up anytime up until 7pm this evening.

I'm becoming slightly concerned....Does anyone else have a similar status?

Yep, located in Cheshire, UK here. Same ''Billing Information Received' status with UPS.

Here's hoping the device is picked up before 7pm tonight for guaranteed delivery tomorrow!

you should of gone in last week as the prices were announced I got put on a callback list an reserved my handset instore over the phone today

He said they'd started a callback list, but then got told they had to destroy it as they weren't going to be able to promise anyone anything. First come first served only. My wife's a gadget fiend, so I've got to get up at the crack of dawn to try and get one for her.

Just got a call from the guy at the CPW, they're getting none in for at least a week and it's same with the vast majority of their stores in Glasgow.

The one at the Fort is only getting 2 in and the Braehead has 27, but they've all been reserved (which in itself is a joke), so for anyone in Glasgow. Don't go to the CPW as you've no chance there.

I also phoned my local O2 shop, the tool wouldn't tell me how much they were getting in. Only that they're opening at 9am as normal, on a first come, first served basis, so I'm probably well and truly fvcked now. My only hope is that the CPW phones me and offers an upgrade on next day delivery like a few have got. :(

Just checked tracking on TNT using number on apple us site and it's just been updated with all tracking info and says out for delivery!

Any Tesco stores opening at midnight tonight for iPhone 4?

I doubt it - Apple wouldn't look on it too kindly. Delivering pre-orders a day or two early is one thing but allowing a major retailer to offer the phone before Apple stores do is not going to happen, in my opinion.

Now back to the footie...

It's a UK thread..have some patriotism :)

Yes exactly, UK. I'm proud to be British and patriotic as such but I never say I'm English - that really isn't something to be proud of these days in my opinion.

What details did they need off you to do the upgrade?

I had a phone call earlier from them when I was on the train and it bloody cut off when I went through a tunnel so I can't ring back  Just hope they will ring me back again.

They needed the first line of my address and post code, phone number, name and date of birth. Unfortunately there's not a lot you can do to get them to prove who they are although the guy was able to see what contract I was currently on.

voda

are vodafone stores opening early??

- im heading out for about 7:30 and hoping for the best :/ want one for me and my gf - o2 are only doing 1 per person so screwed there. Will have to go to voda for additional hs which is fine.

O2 just tweeted saying all their stores will have stock.

Could be 1 phone per store for all we know!

Will Apple be offering Tesco deals then?

The shops I talked to have never had any suggestion of having white ones, although one did say they expected white mid-July.

Having said that, the stock levels from those who would tell me anything looked pretty promising. One had stock "in three digits" and seemed to indicate that it was a lot more than 100.

Just got off the phone from O2 to get my PAC. I happened to ask about the new data limits, and apparently, for every MB over your tariff's limit, you're charged £3!!!

oh that sucks, I just popped down to one in liverpool an asked if they were pre-ordering the girl was like don't think we are yet then a guy over heard an whipped out a list to which I felt relief lol and yeh got my call back lol.... you can come to liverpool an fight me for my reservation if you want hahahaha

If you preregistered on the CPW website then you've got a good chance of getting a call. My guess is that they'd rather sell more over the phone than in stores anyway.

Failing that just go and queue at your O2 store very early. O2 just twittered that all O2 stores will have iPhone 4s when they open tomorrow. The ones opening at 8:02 are listed here. Take a book and just sit it out. To be honest, from the sounds of what's going up in Scotland, O2 stores are pretty much the only places you've got a chance of getting an iPhone 4 tomorrow.

Now I hear ya! All that grunting and short skirts... oh god, now I need to lay down...

That's just not true. With the new iPhone 4 tariffs you don't get charged for going over your limit but it does slow down significantly. This has been confirmed by O2 numerous times, particularly on their Twitter stream.

surely this isn't right... that's their international roaming rate. if it's true i know what i'll be doing when my current contract is up.

Here's hoping, perhaps UPS are so busy that they're really needing that 7pm deadlines

The billing info received is nothing to be worried about. I've booked things through UPS before, and it's basically saying 'Apple have arranged for the delivery and item is ready for collection'. In essence, and I don't want you guys to get worried, but your (my) phone hasn't even been picked up by UPS. It simply means, UPS know that they are to pick up your phone and send it to you.
