So these people have received their phone today, but nobody's posted a pic?
They're lying.
Or, as one says these days: Their lying.

Why do you suspect they are lying? If I got my phone today I wouldn't be uploading pictures to satisfy a few people on a forum. It's not impossible that a few people received theirs early.

the £45 a month contract though is ridiculously good, £99 for 32gb and unlimited calls and texts?

Don't forget, the £45/month Tesco contract is a 2 year contract, compared to 1 year for the cheaper monthly contracts.

Guys, as hard as I tried, can't keep up with this thread :(

I'm sure this has probably been answered before... I just received an O2 micro-SIM, it arrived in the post, I've been anxiously waiting since Monday, as I've registered for O2 updates pretty early on.

So I eagerly opened the envelope, and now I'm not sure I've been sent the correct thing.

On the packaging, it says "O2 Mobile Broadband, Micro SIM for Apple iPad", and in the corner it says "Pay & Go".

Did they send me a wrong SIM, and if so, is there a way of getting around the problem, or is it useless to me?

Thanks!

Have you requested an iPad sim also? Some folks here have in the hopes that it would work in the new iPhone with some success so can have a go... I suggest you pop into an O2 shop and get one, it's straightforward. I requested an SIM from the iPhone 4 registration page, but haven't to date received one.

COME ON ENGLAND !!!

Pictures have been posted in other threads.

yeah, it looks like a select few got sorted in time for pick up by couriers last night and went out. the fact that these select few are literately (based on these boards) a handful of people would suggest that it was probably a little slip up, some fish got through the net, so to speak. we, as was always the case, are getting our phones launch day, 24th.

I just googled for the number of the local Orange store. Called it and got through to a man who was really annoyed that they keep getting calls from people asking for Orange. Oh dear.

So I call Orange switchboard and get through to a really passive-aggressive guy who cannot tell me the number of the local store and doesn't want to discuss the iPhone 4 at all. At the end of our one minute conversation, he was sarcastic and hung up on me. Wow - customer service fail or what!

I'm a bit confused now as to those people who say they're calling their local Orange stores. Orange stores don't have public numbers?

Nice work almost 12000 posts!!!

And go england!!!! Not a soccer fan but the atmosphere is awesome in the UK while England are still in it!

You know, now that you mentioned that, I may have! Honestly, it's been such a frenzy, and I'm not sure, but yes, I may have requested an iPad SIM, in the hope if the proper one doesn't arrive, there might be some way of using this one. So that's probably what's happened.

Can I end up with two non-working SIMs if I try to transfer and it doesn't work?

I don't have a reserved iPhone at Apple, that's why I think going to an O2 shop won't do me much good, they'll want to see proof of reservation.

Well I've just visited the local Vodafone store. They are not taking pre-orders. First come first served, but he doesn't think they'll get many in, less than 10, probably only 6. They got three 3Gs's in on the Vodafone launch day earlier this year.
