For those that live in my neck of the woods, a mate of mine is a manager at a local CPW, he texted me this afternoon to say there would be no stock in any CPW stores in the East of England. I've no reason to doubt him either

My UPS updated to In transit and should be delivered tomorrow, but looking at the Tesco tariffs makes me want to order one from them but it makes me question why the prices are so low, is there something wrong with the network like bad reception or poor customer service?

Ruddy typical......

Popped into my local O2 shop on Monday to see if I could get a microsim. They didn't have any in stock yet, but yes they would give me one if I came back in before Thursday. If I could show them proof of my order with Apple, not a problem.

Goes back to the shop today at 16:10. Shutters down, shop closed. Big sign on door "Closed early due to iPhone 4 launch tomorrow"

You couldn't make it up..............

I know there is only a slim chance that my phone will arrive tomorrow, but even if it does, I still can't use it!

It's not the network they use o2.

Ahhhh..... Damn o2!

We have two phones due for delivery tomorrow and we still cant get our o2 payandgo sims transfered to the new micro sims! :(

First we were given pay monthly ms's - Didnt work!
Then after a return trip payandgo ipad ms's - Didnt work!

Are there actual iPhone payandgo ms's?

This is getting stupid now..... Only option is to cut the sims down, although the chips are quite large on our old sims!

Got wxactly the same problem, even gave o2 a call and they said they will set it up manually, still don't work. time to trim the sim.

Interesting thing on Tesco.

They list 1GB 3G and unlimited wifi... yet small print says

"web & data: fair use policy applies. Monthly data allowance 500Mb."

Tesco use the o2 network so there coverage will be the same. If I hadn't bought my phone sim free I would at my local tesco store first thing tomorrow. Their deal seems very good.

anyone know if tesco has any european add ons? I can't see any on the site...

It's obviously a much better deal than the others so far, but vodaphone are offering the 5mb of european data per day and have the free vodaphone passport thing.... I spend an awful lot of time in europe so it's probably the deciding factor for me and had already convinced me to leave O2.

Im getting worried about microsims at the Apple store at launch! I'm scared I'll have a phone with no simcard! :(

I'm looking to pick up two iPhones for me and my wife. Both of us are light users, but need our regular data.

It's a two-horse race between Orange PAYG and Tesco Mobile. I'm considering purchasing an iPhone 16GB for myself on contract tomorrow, and I might extend that to two iPhone 16GB's for the missus. I like the Tesco Mobile PAYG plan, and I'll also like the iPhone in white - so if they don't have any white in stock on the day I'll hold off and get the iPhone 16GB on PAYG whenever it's available at Tesco.

At least, that's my plan so far!

Hmmm,

As tesco use the o2 network, would that mean an o2 iphone micro sim would just work in a tesco pay as you go iphone or would still require to be unlocked by them?

Really need to know asap so I can decide about ordering since o2 are not selling payg at this time ;)

ANYONE got an orange micro-sim for their non-iphone contract yet? The customer services people are crap and don't have a clue.
