I got up ridiculously early this morning intending to go and stand outside my local O2 shop but at the last minute decided to check a few carriers' websites to see if any of them had opened up online ordering. Lo and behold, Vodafone had literally just opened theirs so I quickly ordered myself a 32GB on an 18 month contract with store pickup tomorrow. They sent out the "buy now!" email to people who had registered their interest just after I got my confirmation email and I've just now got the 'Congratulations! Our credit check indicates you're not a dirty thieving git!' email.

There's no particular indication as to whether Vodafone is only taking as many orders as it has handsets but given that I must have been one of the first people to order one I'll be gutted if it's not in the store tomorrow! I'm still a wee bit jealous of folk who got theirs today...

It is tempting to put my phone on ebay to get a few hundred back but there are far to many scams when it comes to iphones. When I sold my 3GS the buyer managed to get the funds out of my paypal account after I sent the phone because they thought I wasn't going to send it.

A few more people now in North Greenwich at CPW. Still doesn't open for just under an hour. I just hope people aren't knobs when we actually start to queue. We're all just sitting around the front reading books. I know the order if people who have arrived so far so hopefully it'll be ok. I had a bad experience at the Leopard launch at Regent Street a few years back where people pushed in front of about two hundred others to third in the queue.

TNT man just knocked on the door..

Nearly broke my neck running down the stairs...

Lovely 32gb with Black Bumper is now sitting on the table ready to be unboxed...:):):):)

anyone else been able to get through to tesco?
I just keep getting the busy tone?

Best bet is to go to a store you don't think many people will be buying iPhones at. As I mentioned earlier my sister turned up at 8.30 and is second in a queue of 3 people.

Make sure it's definitely a 'phone store' tesco on the website first.

He's opened yours and knocked off early!

Lol only joking, bet you get it later. Ive got to wait until tomorrow. Really curious to see if any UK users have the screen issues.

From teh few ppl that have commented on it so far... there haven't been any screen problems... but not many comments on it quite yet... I have a feeling what I said earlier about it happening during the shipment to the US might be true... or something similar at least

I'm fairly confident that this is a software issue - my 3G is doing the same thing on iOS4 and I'm about 10 feet away from a mobile repeater.

Im not too sure really, because definitely if you have the phone on a desk and cover the bottom left corner with your hand the call signal drops.

Sucks if your left handed.

Well I posted my story about how I was getting the iPhone about 160 pages ago.

Long story short, my mum went into Exeter and got to the o2 shop at 8:20.
They told her they were sold out..completely. There are 2 carphone warehouses, an o2, a phones4u and an Apple shop in Exeter...

They aren't getting more stock until August.

I sold my 3G S. I am paying for a contract I will not be using for a month.

Can anyone confirm what they needed to take to Apple store to confirm there reservation when they picked phone up this morning? Do you just take print off of reservation email?

Your fault really, should of reserved, preorded or not sold. Who are you blaming?

Went to St Albans Carphone Warehouse, was 7th in queue and managed to get Voda 32gb... That was until I was told they're out of Micro sims. I was told it would be held until 2pm, so I have to go back! I got the last of the 32gbs, they got 2 x 32gb on O2, 2 x 32gb on Voda, and then 16 x 16gbs across all three networks.

I then went across the road to find Voda shop had the same stock - 4 x 32 and 16 x 16gb! And there we no queues. As i've done my credit check, i'm going to go back to CPWH.

BUT even phones4u had a 32gb left when I called in there last (no queues) again.

Pretty much all of st albans is queuing outside O2 ... the line must be 300 people long right now :/
