ARGH! FURIOUS!!!

I reserved my 32GB iPhone with my local Orange store but when I got there they told me it was contract only!!! They had attached a note I'd written specifying which handset and that I wanted PAYG. Massive FAIL.

So now I have to go join the queue outside Regent Street *sigh* and the one I have reserved there is the 16GB and I really, really want the 32GB :(

Does any one have a 32GB reservation they don't need/would like to swap with the 16GB??

Three.

**** that. 24 month contract. No sign of an 18 month contract. Look's like I am going to Tesco.

What a day

In the end i decided not to pull an all nighter at apple store glasgow with no gaurentee of a phone. Instead i payed off my contract ( i had 6 months left on my 3gs) at my local o2 store. I arrived at 7.10am, 3rd in line, by 7.20am the line was 10 people long and by opening at 9.02 well over 20 people there.

I was one of the first served, o2 charged me £80 to pay off my contract,( i worked out 6 months x 20 = 120) so result. Got my 16gb Iphone 4 activated and was out the shop by 9.15am.

Well done o2.

I'm actually really disappointed. O2, CPW or P4U had no O2 pre-ordering, reservations with these companies are useless, and the Apple SIM-free prices are ridiculous.

Bring on August...

Well, I've now decided I definitely won't be getting mine today --- it is in some place called Tamworth, and, well, I'm in Northern Ireland. I'm going to assume this is coming over land and ferry as well, rather than the more conventional plane.
:)

Feel exactly the same dude, also heading to N.I. but was hoping against hope it might just come today. Had a look on the link one of the other guys gave earlier and looks like the last update says it's heading to Newtownabby https://iship.com/trackit/track.aspx

Fingers crossed for tomorrow delivery :)

Just got mine. Was walking into the office and it was waiting for me. Haven't had a chance to set it up since I'm at work... roll on 5pm!

On my walk into work there were still about 20 or 30 people outside the O2 shop in Swansea, no one queuing outside the Orange shop (perhaps they ran out).

For those of you who have received theirs and set it up, any issues with signal?

Syncing through iTunes now :D

Nice to see 'Unlocked'

First thing you will notice... the Screen is fabulous. Wow.

Oh, and no yellow problems, Will test Signal soon.

I was planning to have a spare 32GB reservation that I was going to be cancelling about now but my local Orange shop just did exactly the same to me on a supposed reservation for a 32GB PAYG so I'll be heading out to the Kingston Apple store pretty soon to get mine.

I'll still sign up to the Orange PAYG plan because it and O2 are the only ones out there right now and then only via the Apple Store and at least Orange has some (250MB/month) free data bundled with the handset.

I wish Tesco et al. had their PAYG offers available today because there are better deals to be had, just not today.

Prices aren't ridiculous considering the total you will spend over the full course of a 18 or 24 month contract if you pay circa £200 for a phone up front.

Sim-Free/Unlocked phones have always been high price. Nokia, Sony Ericcson have been charging £450+ for their phone for years.
