Back from Trafford Centre Apple store.

I waited in the reservation queue for 2 hours 20 minutes. The none reservation queue was double in size to begin with.

The nearby Orange shop had a few people queueing outside of it and they were all in and out in around 30 minutes. I sent my mate over to ask if they still have stock and such and they did!

thanks dude,

when did you do yours?

if it was today , great, but if it was earlier in the week, i'd say today everybody's pretty much screwed, as i'd say the systems pretty busy.

Yeah I think you're probably right about that -- I did mine a couple of days ago.

Luckily with an O2 MicroSIM you've got a perfect template for cutting up your old SIM!

in central london still waiting! :(

says its been out on delivery since 5:54am...

Come one...i have a friend waiting in the Q at Regent St Apple store; wanna see if i can beat him!

UPS make it happen!

Same here, my mates will beat me to it at this rate and they don't have reservation......

Was in the queue at the Eldon Square Apple Store from about 5.50am. They let everyone in at 6 ish and unfortunately some people legged it to jump the queue (tut tut).

Store opened at 7am as others have said, main queue was filled straight away, second queue further back filled in minutes.

Got in the store around 7.45am, out at 8.30am. Was panicing as I didn't have photo ID, but they only asked for my debit card, phew! Looks like theres going to be problems upgrading, with o2 upgrades portal dying twice while I was there.

When we left the queue was a fair bit longer, going to be a long day for some.

Oh, and don't take this as gospel but the lad who served me was saying they don't have enough stock to fill reservations, they only found out last night how many units they where getting.

Fairly large queue at o2 near Grey's Monument, vodafone store empty, phones4u empty, carphone warehouse on N'land street small queue.

And in store they must be doing 3, as it was shown on the screen savers. Apologies if this has already been mentioned, only did a quick scan of the thread.

Finally, iPhone 4........ Nice!

Rage building up inside!

Courier Deliveries

Everyone trying to work out what time UPS/TNT are going to deliver, I'm sorry but you can't base this on how near or far your are to the depot. It's not as if there's only one driver from each depot doing all the deliveries!

Say for example your depot is Birmingham. There will be several drivers doing deliveries for Birmingham City all day long, so even if you're 5 miles from the depot, you could get yours at any time. Likewise, if you're 40 miles northwest of Birmingham, there will be a different driver covering your area over the whole day, so just because you're a long way from the depot doesn't mean anything.

I'm afraid it's just a matter of waiting! Though do remember that deliveries will probably be going to till at least 7:00 tonight.

Sorry to repeat post, but are the iPhones being sold today all unlocked, even if you buy them from a carrier (I know the Apple Store ones are)

Same here central london and it says out for delivery since 5:29 am... Hope it shows up soon!!

I have an iPhone sitting in front of me but can't buy it yet because O2 haven't got the early upgrade system ready and CPW can't get through to them. :-(

Well been playing with mine for about 40 minutes now after the Apple Store insisted on activating it even though it's sim free.

I'm in love. Feels amazing. Screen is gorgeous. No yellowing. Signal problem might be present but doesn't seen to be affecting calls or data speed.

Wow. Just wow. :)

Same Again Tomorrow?

Considering that the Apple stores are only honouring reservations until the close of business today, I guess there will be quite a few currently reserved iPhones available first thing tomorrow morning.

I wonder how many people who unsuccessfully queued today fancy going through the same tomorrow? That would be dedication!

I'm on my way to the Exeter apple store now! What were the queues like? :D

Terrible. Horrendous. Scary.

I'm hoping the Stone Lane Retail CPW has some iPhones..

I can only get there at 4:20PM next (conference), probably out by then. If you still go, update us on what the queues are like please! :D

Ah forgot to mention.

The reservation queue at the Trafford Centre doubled in size in the space of 30 minutes after me joining it. It took me 2 hour 20 minutes to get into the shop.

If you are planning on going to Trafford Centre I don't know what to advise because it may get better, it may get worse who knows!

okay, just back form the o2 shop,

im a pay and go customer, but got the upgrade via my mums contract, they gave me a new pay and go micro sim, and told me to phone o2 to do a sim swap.

customer service is down, so i did it online, it says itll take 24hours, do you think itd be okay to cut my old sim in my 3GS down, and put it in my iPhone 4 in the meantime?

thanks.

It says up to 24hrs, but mine only took 30 mins yesterday. Wait a bit longer!

My iPhone 3G and my iPad both just PING!ed at me to tell me my TNT iPhone is out for delivery, so I'm off to start queuing for my Apple Store reservation, then off to work to collect the delivery.

Wish me luck!

maybe rumour but i heard a bloody punch up went on outside the apple store brent cross!

wow, people are getting really ott with this..

Can we have an update on whichever Apple store it was that people started going into at about 7:00 this morning but no-one had come back out again?

Sounds a bit sinister and worrying

just phoned tnt.....they said they dont have a set way of delivering.....unless some people have like premium deliveries in which they are first.....so guess we're just gonna have to be patient.........whatever that means :D

That's reassuring.

I'm in Reading and my tracking with TNT says it went out for delivery around 7... which was 3 hours ago and still there's been no delivery. And I live close to the town centre here in Reading!!! The Reading Depot is about 20 miles out.

So I think it takes a little longer than you think.
