My dad put a deposit down with Orange on Friday. Had a call yesterday morning saying they have more stock and he could pick his phone up from lunch time.

So replenishment is obviously happening for some stores!
 
More people pre-ordered the 16GB iPhone, than the 32GB. That's why that 32GB was shipped out earlier than my one.

Janet: I am sorry you had issues. Did you place it online or for store pickup.

You: Unfortunately, the nearest Apple Store is about an hour and a half away from home
Janet: IT is still on track for that delivery date.
You: That's great. I hear that there are currently some antenna issues, is there any ETA for the fixing for this, assuming it is a software issue?
Janet: The ariel cannot be covered with your hand while talking or you risk losing signal.
You: Ok, where is the ariel located on the device?
Janet: It is on the side. A Bumper case does help with the reception.
Janet: Since the sides are metal the Bumper pad is plastsic and rubber so it insulates it.
You: Ok that's great. Just one more thing, a friend ordered an iPhone on the 17th, and it was shipped out on the 25th. He ordered a 32GB iPhone. Was/Is there a stock issue?
Janet: It is more of a high demand issue.
You: Ah right.
Janet: More ordered the smaller capacity so it is taking a little longer to fill the orders.
You: Interesting, thanks Janet :)
Janet: You are welcome.
You: From your point of view, is there any chance my iPhone could arrive by the 1st July?
Janet: It may, but I do believe it will be after that day.
You: Ok thanks Janet. Well, that's all I need to know right now.
Janet: Have a lovely day.

Sometimes I'll pick it up and it'll have 1 or 2 3G bars already, hold it in my left hand and it'll often lose 3G completely, put it back in the same place and it'll jump to full 3G. None of it seems very accurate. I'm hoping it is all a software issue that will be sorted next week...

All day today I've been getting 'no service' - not when holding the phone, just on the table... normally in the house I can get at least standard 2G coverage, sometimes 3G... but today it's been dire. Any one else experiencing problems with O2 today?
 
Called my brother on his iPhone4 on Friday using Facetime - worked brilliantly. :cool:
Pity its limited to iPhone4's and wifi :eek: (maybe not - suspect I'd feel like a prat using it outside :p )

Not sure, but I'm from England and I'm so glad they finally got knocked out, and in style, handed to them on a platter. Sick of hearing about this pathetic game called football.

i got a Mifi on 3 for my ipad, tried it with facetime and it worked :D

Yep! here in south london its been crap today.I normally leave mine in my dock and get 1 bar 3g or 5 bars 2g but at the mo its searching and goes to no service :mad:

Just tried a t-mobile sim thinking my phones was playing up and thats all normal.I hope it gets sorted by o2 asap!

I've been using o2 and I haven't had that issue :/, might be just yours but I have had the same issue with the reception issues with holding it from the side
