The O2 Simplicity (micro-sim) that I picked up from the shop, was activated over the phone, and I put it into my old V3 to try, and it works.
 
I'm still stunned at the Beeb for showing image after image of 'fans' dressed as Knights of the Crusades. Do you think that Germans dressed in SS get-up would have been so well received?

To make a throwaway comment about Nazis is poor show.

This site is a bit more specific and says O2 will not unlock the iPhone 4 at least until after the launch period (Which probably means at least until the end of July)

I filled in the form in the original link and have just had an SMS from O2 saying "Your iPhone can now be unlocked" and telling me to put in a non-O2 SIM and connect to iTunes.
 
I got a call from Tesco on Saturday saying that my order was safe and that Tesco would be providing me a phone, although it is unlikely to be before Tuesday.

Anyone else get this, that managed to place an order with Tesco, only for it to be cancelled?

Exactly the same, they called me on Saturday too.

I've just received a text from tesco saying my order exceeded their bulk buy policy. As I ordered a single iPhone I have to ask, are Tesco selling halves?

Either that or it's just more evidence of their "system issues"!
 
Kind of amazed that o2 still haven't had a second delivery to their stores yet. You'd think they'd get a new delivery in shortly after launch day..

Passing Work, the local Orange store had a sign saying they were getting more deliveries in on Tuesday 29th (Tomorrow).

They're getting daily deliveries as far as I can tell... The stock checker (and indeed a phone call to my local o2 store) said they had stock on Friday morning, but were totally sold out on Thursday afternoon
 
Iphone 4 UK Menu to setup Email account

Hope someone here can help me to figure out if the new iPhone 4 has in the email setup settings menu the Google Mail or Gmail logo.

Does anyone have any news on the London Regent Street Apple Store and whether they have iPhones in stock and smaller queues? Thanks.

Haha, i love how on topic this discussion about the football is... :rolleyes:

Just wanna quickly say tho to be fair we will never know what the score would have been if the goal was allowed... Engalnd's morale was probably severely affected... and might have done better if morale were turned the other way and it was counted... which could have lead to a more favorable score for England...

I'm not defending England tho cuz the Germans played circles around the Brits... and definitely deserved to win


also, I hate how much this thread has slowed down now that the iPhone is out, haha... it was the only thing that got me through a day at work for some time (I'm an intern and they have given me very little work recently... I guess that's what you get when coming up to the end of an internship though :( )

I decided to give up on waiting for the 'will they won't they' from Tesco, not least because I've been on O2 for the past 2 years with an iPhone and the 3G 'service' has been patchy at best (and totally different from their coverage map claims also!)

So then phoned at 9.30am this morning .. they have no phones in stock but did the whole credit check and sign up and told me more phones are coming in all the time and most people who order are getting them in 3 or 4 days. At worst it will be 10 days (still quicker than the Apple website)

If I find something else in the meantime I could cancel with no problem obviously but am pretty I want to give Orange a go now :)

I actually got another text from Three a couple days ago saying they are going to ring me this week regarding tariff sign up and they will be shipping iPhones on w/c 19th July.
