It sure is!

Makes me slightly panic, WHY HAVEN'T I YET GOT PROTECTORS AND INSURANCE :(

Sorry for the big letters. I worry.

I feel your pain, I have the insurance but it's to beautiful to cover up surely? Although I fear a case/protector will be required

having tried 3 times to buy one from the Regent St Apple Store, I walked into the orange shop just round the corner earlier and 20 mins later walked out with a 16GB. I had wanted a 32, but really don't even use the capacity of my 16GB 3GS. There are iphones around, I guess you just have to be lucky

I was walking to the O2 shop with my gf to get an upgrade for her - we could see the queue from the end of the shopping centre...which happened to be where CPW was. There was a queue of two people, so we went in and got one each and were out with in 15-20 mins

It is too beautiful, but being very, very cautious....and clumsy, I'd feel better with a screen protector on both sides and a bumper/case of some sort. I hear Carphone Warehouse have some in, seeing as I'm heading into town, and then the city tomorrow I've got a good chance. If not, Apple will surely be having more of my damn money.

In my experience 3 are great in store, the problem is that there's only so much they can do in store, for most things even they have to ring the call centre just like anybody else.

Their 3G network is also great, but on the iPhone they don't seem to be able to roam onto 2G for EDGE/GPRS data, it's only for voice and SMS. So if you run out of 3G coverage you won't get any data, even at a snail's pace.

(That's my experience using a normal PAYG SIM in the iPhone, maybe their actual iPhone plans still allow 2G data but I haven't seen any evidence of that.)

Hmm, odd. I've had a three PAYG sim in this week too, carrier file updated as soon as I plugged it into iTunes the first day, and I've been on both edge and GPRS today. I refreshed Twitter to check it was actually allowing data through too.

O2 have been abysmal as usual in customer service, not knowing if they do payg or not.

What is the 3 PAYG terms/ coverage like?

o2 Cellular Data Settings for iphone 4

Hi all ,

Asking this here as o2 have been no help.

The iphne shows 3G signal , but I cant access the net.

Tried changing the APN to = mobile.o2.co.uk and can get access ..for a few minutes.

The previous setting was idata.o2.co.uk , and just doesnt work.

On a pay monthly contract , so havent tried the payandgo settings.

Anyone having success with the idata.o2.co.uk settings ?

Works fine for me...posting this reply from my phone with those settings

Try resetting your network settings and connecting to iTunes and checking for possible carrier settings update (I got prompted for this when I first got mine)

I agree, the situation at O2 stores is bizzare !

Checked the stock at other stores, it showed stock but they were closed. Went to the Bond Street O2 store, there were 30 people ahead of me, asked the guy inside if there were enough phones for everybody - he assured me a couple of times that there was more than enough stock and it was more a matter of time as they would close sharp at 6.00pm

Then after 2.5 hours of waiting in the sun, the same O2 guy comes out to say ' sorry people, we've run out ... '

What ****s !

I think I'm going to wait for Tesco to get the stock and buy off them. I dont want to spend £499 upfront on an unlocked phone, but I don't want to be with nO2 for another 18 months. Tesco offers the best deal with a 12 month contract and more minutes/data for the £35 quid per month they charge

I think after a month or two, the stock situation should settle down nicely and there won't be any lines anymore. And I've decided that nO2 really dont deserve my custom !

Try doing a reset of network settings.

iPhone 4 Overheating!?

Hey everyone, is anyone experiencing some overheating with their iP4? Mine seems to get pretty hot at the back on the right hand side (and also on the metal rim on the right hand side).

I'm probably gonna take it back to Apple to get a new unit. Thoughts on why this might be happening?

It's not overheating. All iPhones have been like this. It gets hot to the touch, but not too hot to touch. There is no problem with the unit unless it gets so warm it is uncomfortable to hold.

I have a question about the "simplicity for iPhone" deal offered by O2. If I was to purchase this sim, can it also be used in any other phone? (I have a Nokia 6300)

My iPhone is not due to be shipped until 14th July but I was thinking of taking out this simplicity deal earlier and using it in my current handset (if possible) and then put it in the iPhone when it arrives.
