I think you might be right. Most orders seem to take more than one day to get from Arnhem. It shouldn't, but it does. I think you may be held up slightly by the weekend. Sorry.

Apple really shouldn't advertise this as "Fast Shipping"!!!
 
if you get one instore sim free do you just pay and leave, or do they need to take out the phone and something to it?

It is looking like an after the weekend job!

There was just a knock at my door and I could see it was a UPS guy - got half excited, opened the door and it was just to take delivery of a neighbour's parcel! Gutted :(

Wrapsol Ultra

I ordered a wrapsol ultra from the USA and got it shipped across to UK. Have just received a letter through the door from Royal Mail wanting £11.63 in customs duty before i can get it :eek: :mad:

Anyone else had a similar experiance? Seems a lot for something that is only worth £15!!

they don't tax you for items under £18 iirc even if they did, it should only be 17.5%.

Import duty level is $25
 
Well, just called TNT as my iPhone has been stuck at Arnhem for c30hrs. Bloke said "a truck broke down causing a slight delay and it is still in Arnhem".

Oh well, I'm off to play Alan Wake all weekend........ :)

One word of warning. Don't restore a new iPhone from an older phone. Set it up as a new phone.

Comgrats i'm going for the same too. Quick q tho, when u took the contract out, which tariff didnu go for and is the phone locked to three then?

yeh they did, took their time though (1hr 48 mins to be exact;)) - im not a fan of waiting on the phone with horrible Voda music blaring in my ear! then being put through 3 departments where they asked for my phone number, name, first line of address, postcode and date of birth each time :rolleyes:. told them first off that i needed to be put me through to technical but they insisted that they wud have a stab at something they deemed clueless about :p

...anyhows shame im gonna return it soon though because of a dodgy screen. must say my reception is pretty good! i can just about get 3G in my house where as my 3GS on O2 cant - not even edge :)
 
Still waiting for Tesco to get some stock in so i can buy mine :( any updated news from them ?

Look mate, i'm not sure what you are expecting people to do... no-one is going to start ringing stores or buying phones for you. I suggest you get it sorted between you and your uncle. Besides, calling stores is not going to get you a phone any faster. It's either there for your uncle to pick up or its not.

Suggest you take a breather, remind yourself it's only a phone and go for a walk. The begging is getting pathetic.

Yeah if you buy it from the online Apple Store and want to return it, you can take it back to any Apple Retail Store within 30 days - or so Apple Technical Support has told me.
 
I don't live in the UK but I would like to purchase an iphone 4 as a gift for a family member.

does the apple online store (UK) allow me to use my non UK credit card but allow me to ship the phone to my family in London?

The billing and shipping addresses would be different but the shipping address would be located within the UK so this should be ok. Right?
