NEW's

Hey guys got an e-mail:
Hello Umar,
New iPhone 4 stock has arrived! Available from tomorrow (Saturday, 10/07/2010) on O2 and Orange. Please note, purchases on O2 are available for upgrades only. Please see below for your exclusive preview of stores which will have stock from tomorrow. You'll need to be quick as limited stock will be available.

So guys there you have.....run to the CPW and get one....already got mine so just wanted to inform you guys....

So it seems that o2 stores and Carphone Warehouse have received stock replenishment (for the first time since launch?) then? Surely it can't just be two retailers.
Im phoning my local Tesco now.

I've been receiving the above CPW email every week so they have been regularly getting stock.

I ordered a 16gb ip4 on Vodafone on Sunday afternoon and I got it delivered yesterday:D

Hmmmm, that's weird. My local Tesco hasn't received anything since launch. It hurts to even know that the O2 shop in the town center has stock. I just don't understand what is stopping Tesco from receiving stock if O2 & Carphone Warehouse are?

Just got off the phone with Apple, and apparantly those orders (like mine) with a shorter delivery time - 2 days - won't be processed all the way from China. Basically they just get a big batch to the UK, then deliver from there. So rather then seeing tracking info from all around the world, we'll just see it in the UK. Hope this makes sense!

Hope you get your phone soon! Just picked mine up from TNT - was a long drive into the country, but worth it.

Interesting. I'm in the same boat, ordered 24th and still waiting.

wow! .. the bumpers onto the black phone look awesome!! .. thought it was so silly that on the apple site they only have pics with the white phone!

I am just not brave enough to put it into my pocket with just the bumper tho as I keep my keys in the same pocket .. and penknife .. etc etc ..

The best thing is to phone them up and try to push them....I mean that you phone them everyday until someone nice picks up and put an iphone 4 for you asside.....Thats what happen with me..Also ordered at the 24th...

Tesco telephone order line have had loads

Hey guess what arrived in the post this morning... :)

Sad thing is, i naturally grab the phone with my left hand. This will be an interesting few months/years.

I can confirm you can get the VAT refund form if purchased from store ONLY. No online order is eligible for VAT refund ever.
I bought the 32GB from store and asked for the form when paid.

It says price 599 . VAT 89.21, Admin charge 28.21 , Net refund 61.00

So you will be able to get 61 back on your card or 58 if you want cash at Heathrow. Cash is not available in Manchester/Newcastle etc.

Hope this helps

Your data seems confirmed here.

So I will be going in store and trying this, ASSUMING the phone I ordered last Monday in store will actually come in on time.
I did use my Australian account though, could this be a concern? (Itunes account - they made me do a reservation on one of their macs which were plugged in and on demo?)

58 quid return is still near 100$ AUD cheaper for me and likely lcose to under 1000$ AUD for a 32gb iphone 4, I'm almost positive it'll exceed that retail price in Australia by anywhere from 80 to 180$ :/

Do I have to aks anything specific in store and should I register at another store to be notified?

Also, is there any way I can reserve one, full retail at another store, without physically entering the store? (online?)

went to regent street today no luck i booked my phone on 2nd july. they say there are 9000 people on the list ...This is crazyyyyy...

Had. Tesco got about 80 odd in on Wednesday. I got through just in time to get one but the O2 system crashed during the credit check bringing Tesco's link down with it. When they got it back up, all the phones had gone. Not happy. :(

Will probably have to wait until the end of the month/early August until the next reasonable deliveries start. Until then, local stores may just get a handful now and then.

Was advised by Tesco to wait until the white ones come out. It will be easier to get hold of black ones then as demand for those might lessen a little.

I asked again in T-Mobile this morning, I was told that the tariffs had been sorted and to get the handset for free it would be £60 and that would give unlimited minutes, 500 txts and 1GB of Data...... seems a bit expensive in my opinion and this was the only tariff they could give me info on, they did confirm that if I was to take an iPhone tariff I would lose my F&F 50% discount also. I asked if they had anything to confirm the tariffs but they couldn't give me anything in writing so I don't know how credible this tariff info is.

My local Tesco still had no stock of the iPhone 4 either, Phones for You did how ever have stock of the 16GB on Orange or could order me a 32GB for next week if thats what I preferred.

i got mine on monday (5th) from phones4u in Denton and they had a couple left but only because i was upgrading from simplicity i was able to get the 32gb one and paid £209 for it.. otherwise i dont think i was going to get my hands on one until the end of august..

In Central London go to Tottenham Court road. It's like the street for gadgets. Bound to be some sim free there for sale but be prepared to pay way over the odds.
