Have they even released the price of the phone on the contacts or PAYG yet? Bit early to be complaining, although I was hoping for the same PAYG deal as the 3GS.
Also sounds a bit strange that you will change network even if the deal is no better? At least O2 have given us some details unlike all the other networks.

They have released the tariffs, and the PAYG one is crap.

Another reason for leaving O2 is the fact that their data network is unreliable anyway, but also over princible in relation to the tariff thing.

Over the last 6 months I have averaged 400MB (400,610KB) on each bill. the only warning I have had was when I was stuck in Dublin die to the Ash cloud and had to use the phone to try and book ferries and hire cars to get home.

I really want a iP4 but the £200 buy out cost plus handset are a big step if I will probably end up having to pay more for data too.

I think i'm waiting for T-Mobile now O2's tariffs have gone south, I have a great contract with them now and I think they will be more fair than the rest. For example, they give "unlimited" data on most contracts but for Android users that means 2GB rather than 1GB for everyone else. Hopefully they'll follow suit on iPhone

Plus I can get £80 through Quidco :D

ring them and then post the results here lol, in the small print they can change the data plan when ever they want.. so no idea.

Hi, I have one question that can someone answer?

If tomorrow I go and buy a 12 month simplicity plan
http://shop.o2.co.uk/tariffs/simplic...hone/12_months

Would in October the data be capped to 500mb or would it remain unlimited?

According to the O2 advisor I got on the phone about an hour ago, whatever you buy tomorrow, will be your tariff for as long as you want it.

Even after the 12 months, they can't cap your data plan.

Whether the advisor was misleading me or not though, is another matter.

I meant they have not released the price of the phone on a contract or the cost of the PAYG phone?

I guess it will be the same, but everyone thought that about the tariffs also.

I feel tomorrow we will find out handset prices from O2.

Or actually having second thoughts:

Do you think it will be Apple who move first with handset prices as it is there hardware? Maybe O2 aren't allowed to have shared that with us yet because they are waiting for the nod from Apple?

When are you guys expecting handset pricing?

They are really grasping the opportunity of milking off the iPhone 4, aren't they? t0ssers!

This phone is going to be much harder to get hold of than I thought.

I am also a simplicity customer as current with a 3GS I bought PAYG and I too have been told that mybtarriff will noy change and data remain unlimited if I buy an iphone4 on PAYG. They will just send me a new micro sim and off i go unchanged.

Tuesday?

Did the iPad prices get launched before pre order day?

Orange already have a limit of 750mb for 3G and Wifi each, though the Wifi is only BTopenair, and cloud, so I don't know if that means your limited in your home or not. Someone will be able to tell me. Anyway the point is Orange don't have unlimited data usage policies to drop.
