All information comes from the Networks.

For that one you are asking about - http://shop.o2.co.uk/promo/iphoneindex

Scroll down to £45 per month and you can see it.

Remember, all information in my spreadsheet here - http://bit.ly/dqmdsn - is based on 3GS prices, but when the new tariffs are available, they will be put in. This is purely for a guide only to give you an idea what you can expect.

When Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Virgin and 3 announce their prices, ill put it in there!

Ahh! I thought that pricing was for iPhone 4.

Now why would i do that. I am a 42 yr old law student and not a 12 yr old child, all I have been doing is passing on info and exchanging opinions. Thought thats what forums were for.

All info is really appreciated but your posts are frequently peppered with comments that border on smugness. Even going back to when the iPad was being released.

Just an observation.

Anyone know how the network transfers your mobile number to the micro sim. Does that mean the normal sim doesn't function anymore :(

Unlike the previous posters comments you don't need a pac code unless your going between networks lol

It's called a sim swap, just get a micro-sim delivered or picked up from a store (when they have them) then they will just swap your contract from big sim to little sim. Good times

Thanks for the headsup, not sure how I've managed all these years without knowing.:rolleyes:

Now to the issues at hand.
I reckon all the networks barring 3 will have almost identical tariffs and handset prices, seems that this is all set by Apple in a roundabout way.

Sure we'll know in next few days. :):)

When you pre order do you pay then or when you collect.
Also if you do pre order are you guaranteed an iPhone

Thanks :D

I've been a following this thread with some interest, however, as a noob I have a question regarding activation of the iPhone4. Would it be at all possible to buy a PAYG handset, insert the microSIM that is supplied with it, but on activation in iTunes enter my current (non iPhone contract) phone number? Would this be a viable workaround to get my number associated to the microSIM and iPhone? Or, would I need to have my carrier 'officially' transfer my number to a new microSIM? Any thoughts.........?

Your number is associated with the sim not the handset. Only the carrier can change the number associated with a sim.

Your carrier would need to transfer it. You can type your existing number in but it won't do anything incoming calls won't get through and outgoing calls will come from the new PAYG number.
