Do you work for T-mobile? Are you testing it for their network (one of the excuses they've been given out for the delays)?
My status says shipped on 16th. Expected delivery 30th. Is that just an estimate or is it really going to take nearly two weeks to get here from China? 
I also don't see any up-to-date info like some of you guys. It says "in transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly"!

nope dont work for t-mobile just have a work sim which i've cutdown into an iphone4 and was suprised when i got the carrier update.

Errm, that's the whole point I was trying to make: No carrier info.
US site says bumper is shipped via Syncreon Technology and "Merge in Transit GB" for the iPhone. None of the tracking references on Apple Store work on Syncreon Technology's godawful website.
T-Mobile too and got the carrier update 7.1 Saturday morning. Removes ability to update APN settings but good thing it leaves tethering ability
Of course. I'm just frustrated that it's still there since early friday and delivery is still expected today.

Hey guys, I'm a new member to the site, although I've been lurking for months and have been following and researching iPhone 4 for a long time now.
I'm planning on getting the iPhone 4 on Tesco Mobile (as it is overall at least as good, if not better deal than the other major networks, yet allows you to have only a 12 month contract, which means I can buy the iPhone 5 next year and sell my unlocked iPhone 4 for a reasonable amount).
I had a few questions, hopefully someone can answer them.
1. What is Tesco's network like? I know they piggyback from O2, but is there a difference between Tesco and O2 customers? Like do O2 customers get preference, leaving Tesco customers with worse off reception/data speeds?
2. Does visual voicemail work with Tesco's network?
3. Is it possible to buy the iPhone via Tesco mobile from the Apple Store? I know you can buy O2 and Orange (at least) iPhones from the Apple store so do they extend this to Tesco mobile as well? Or do I need to go to Tesco to get it? The reason I ask is twofold - (i) There are no Tesco stores near me that have a phone shop to sell the iPhone and (ii) I quite like the idea of having all of my old contacts trasnferred to the iPhone by the Apple guys so I don't have to do it myself.
4. Similar to question 3, but is it possible to buy the iPhone from the apple store ONLINE with Tesco mobile? As far as I can tell, when I select buy iPhone, it is for £599 for the iPhone only version, and there are no options to choose which network you want.

Tesco's network is not that great. I all the time had problems low reception even in central london.......If you had to chose between o2 or tesco's take o2. And thanks to the reception problems on the iphone 4 you are not guranteed that you will be able to get hold of one or two bars...
Visual voice mail will probably won't work I'm afraid thinking of that you don't even get the most basics features with them......
From the apple store you are currently allowed to buy the sims only from the major wireless networks since tesco's isn't a major network you probably have to wait and see if apple allows tesco's to sell it in-store...
You can buy it online but..........good luck with that as lots of people had lots of trouble doing sooooo....
So my advice.......if you absolutly just need the basics go ahead and buy your phone from tesco's........but my experince with them was just awfullllll.....

Just received an email from Exeter Apple Store that my reservation is ready! Went in on 28th June.
Thing is I managed to get one from o2...so is it possible to transfer the reservation?? Know there is a lot of people still waiting...if so then PM me and we can sort something out, not looking for any profit etc...got to be collected by end of tomorrow (tuesday).

Iphone 4's I believe is only sold on pay as you go from apple at the moment.
Until end of august or september all iphone 4's will be sold on upgrade or contracts only....
looool tesco's they ain't got stock......People who are in their list for more then 2 weeks had no chance to pick one up.....
Hmm, what a massive shambles this is.
I'm still feeling the silent recall for exchange with a possible redesigned antenna system, but im just hopeful

'possible redesigned antennasystem' is probably not going to happen at least for two to three months as apple is already struggling to make enough iphone 4's and bumper cases.
And then another recall of the phones? To good to be true......So anybody who critcs the iphone 4 shouldn't buy one......

I was wondering about getting an exchange in the Apple store for the death grip issue, in my house it is really bad. I'm hoping the UK have received some of these magical 2nd batches that aren;t as badly effected. I'm guessing this post will get lost in the despatch posts

I couldn't replicate the problem with some O2 display models on the 24th, so i have no problem. But then, O2 shop might have a booster or something.
I'm not worried about the issue, just be nice for it to be non-existant.

it wouldn't matter anyway....First batch second batch the phone itself will be the same. It is a design flaw not a mistake which apple did in their manufacture process. The thing is that apple is solving the problems with a bumper and if you are still not happy you can just get your money back I think.

there is no point dreaming of something which will probably never gonna happen. But we got time until the 30th of september.....may there is going to be another recall regarding this phone.....I'm happy with my iphone 4 and a free case for me will do....I mean you would have brought a case anyway for your phone to protect it....So I can't really see the hipe about this antenna problem......
