Plenty of stock in the Bluewater store in Kent tonight when I picked up my new 16gb model :D

At least 7 x 16gb left and a minimum of 25 x 32gb in stock ready to take away.

how do you know? were they displayed on shelves? because when i was in london i didn't see any iPads or iPhones on shelves, only the demos you see on tables..

They had a designated area for buying iPhone 4's and they were displayed on a shelf behind the staff members manning this section. I just asked for an iPhone, he turned round and picked one off the shelf :)

Hope that helps.

Birmingham bullring have walk ins available! Got one yesterday, had to queue for about 3 1/2 hours which I felt abut silly about but I've got one now and didn't have to wait 3 weeks for it :)

DHL - Losing patience

Upgraded to an O2 iPhone 4 online last week. Took a look on the DHL tracker and saw on Friday morning it was out for delivery.
Friday evening - no phone and tracker read "Consignee cannot be reached". Saturday, same story.
Monday, same story (despite email from them assuring me it would be with me by "close of business").
Today (Tuesday), it's out for delivery AGAIN and by 14.30, still no sign so not holding my breath.
Have had no card left to say they attempted delivery and there has been someone in the house at all times.

Any ideas what to do if it isn't here by the end of the week?

Afternoon.

Quick question for current users of iPhone 4, what is the average size of photos and videos shot on the iPhone 4?

I only ask because at the moment I'm debating whether to go for the 16gb or 32gb, something I know has been endlessly discussed but I couldn't find anything in relation to the specific sizes above.

Personally speaking I wouldn't even wait until the end of the week given the details you've provided and call them as soon as possible.

I've got 2000 photos, from cameras, my old iPhones and my iPhone 4, and with iPhoto stuff enabled it takes up 7GB, with the iPhone it's about 4.5GB - I have 1.5 GB free now on a 16GB model, wish I'd got the bigger one :/

Thanks - did just that and called them.... They said call tomorrow if it doesn't show up.

And to answer your question - go 32GB. There will be a fair amount of space taken up by iOS4. Also having a 5MP camera with HD video, pictures and videos are going to take up a fair bit more room than in the 3GS.

Why is there still a three week wait to get an iPhone 4 direct from Apple when the third parties all seem to have stock? Is that because Apple have fixed the attenna problem, off-loaded all existing stock to the network providers and waiting for production to complete on the revised iPhone 4 for themselves?

If you have to debate it - just go for 32GB. You may never use all the space, but at least you ahve it which is better than getting 16GB and then running out and not being able to increase the space. This forum is full of people who went 16GB -> 32GB because they realised later they needed the space but very few who went the other way.

.

I took a film - maybe a couple of minutes at most. 670MB! Resolution comes out at 1280x720 so is true HD. Best go for the 32GB like I did.

Anybody having orders with Apple for the 19th ship date? Also are there any standard days of the week that there shipped out

Existing iPhone 02 contract.

Does anyone know if I transfer my sim on to the 02 microsim and insert that into an Apple unlocked phone can I just carry on with my 02 tariff with unlimited data beyond the end of my current contract in September?

Thanks, went and got one from the bullring at lunchtime. Waited in line for 30-40 mins before I got served. Seems like there is plenty for everyone now.

You'd have to ask O2. If you just cut your sim micro size then your contract stays the same. But if you involve O2 with the sim transfer, they might change your plan terms.

I'm doing this: have done the SIM transfer and my account details, data allowances etc. remain unchanged. Not due to end my contract for another 3-4 months though, but it seems unlikely that they'd change it then: if they do, i'll just shop around for another deal.

i think aslong as you dont upgrade at the end of your contract you will just keep paying your monthly fee and your tariff should stay the same, my friends just ran out last month, and he has still got his unlimited data

Just a heads up

Popped into the apple store (regents street) to try and get a case (none due till September) And there was a huge queue for iphones in the store (about 300 people at 4pm) and they were telling people they had 1000's in store

I was in both the Convent Garden and Regent St stores this weekend and unable to buy the iphone 4. In both stores I was told they would only sell phone if I had made a "reservation" online and if I hadnt made one I had to wait 3 weeks.

So not on sale in these 2 stores right now as far as I know there.

I have been waiting for Tesco to get stock and I just got fed up today so I went to Brent cross Apple store and bought a 32gb Iphone 4, waited about 5 minutes in the Iphone queue and was out in 2!

I also started a 12 month sin only Vodafone deal, £20 600mins Unlimited txts and 1gb of data and this was through quidco, which I should hopefully get £100 cashback, which works out to £140 over the year + £600 = £740 which isnt to far of the Tesco deal which came to £669 but that isnt including the extra 350 minutes. So I think it is a very good deal.
