Has anyone managed to pick up a 16Gb iphone 4 from Tesco in the last 2w?

My impression is that they have the odd 32Gb one but no 16Gb. According to the O2 availability checker, they are in > 50% of the O2 stores across the east midlands. Can there really be such a difference between O2 acquiring them and Tesco?

From what I have gathered, they last had stock (available to order over the phone) on the 4th/5th.

I have called at 8am every weekday since then and they've not had anything (16 or 32), nor have they been able to tell me when they will.

I'm on the point of giving up and getting one direct from Apple, as you point out, every other network seems to be showing some stock now and still Tesco have nothing, nor have they told their customers what is happening :(

Walked into my local on Wednesday and they had both available. They were operating a list to call when in stock but will sell to anyone who goes into the store.
 
Orange Prepay

First the good news - Orange's website finally has stock for Prepay.:eek:

The bad news - The order won't complete because the value is too high, so it gets referred to their risk team, who don't work at weekends. :mad:

Orange's Cust Services were crap, telling me I couldn't have ordered one, because nobody told them you could. :confused:

I used a Borderlinx address.Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to ship to Germany?

A friend of mine works in the phone shop of my local Tesco and he just said they are literally only getting in 7 or 8 at a time and always in the evening. They are putting aside half for pre orders and the other half for walk ins. So it's hit and miss with them
 
Tesco should really get a lot of stock because they are the cheapest and then they are out of stock but if it is like they do get stock then i will reserve one.
 
I'm waiting for one 32gb myself. I made the order the 9th of August. The delivery date is the 1st of september... I really hope I am as lucky as other posters and get it early, as the person picking it up for me leaves the uk the 3rd of september.
 
I've been waiting 4 weeks for the Tescos in Glasgow to get iPhones in stock (in one case they had the phones but not the SIM cards:confused:). In Teesside this week on business and checked Tesco Stockton, They've got a few in stock. So I bought one:)

Went into Tesco Leicester today and managed to walk out with one of their three 32Gb phones! :D

But I have the death grip issue :(

Does anyone know if Apple will replace the phone or if it's a choice between having the free case or getting a refund?
