Im not sure mobile phone shops are still clued up about the micro sim.

I went to O2, Orange and T-Mobile shops and they each had different quotes.

O2, i was able to get the micro sim free, no questions asked.

Orange, the guy said they dont give them free and the cheapest they do it on PAYG is £15.

T-Mobile, i asked for a PAYG micro sim with £10 credit on it, and he said it would cost £20! 10 for the top up and 10 for the micro sim itself!

ridiculous.

should all shops be giving them away free?

At the carphonewarehouse they didn't have micro sim as payg, at vodaphone the guy didn't sell them at all. The reason why I'm getting PAYG is because 4/12 months out of the year I'm not in the UK, and paying a monthly fee for something I won't use is ridiculous.

So if someone could actually give me a link to a place where they have PAYG micro sims I would be very grateful:)

BTW, if I take my PAYG iPHone 4 with me to my homecountry, can I still use it there with my British sim if I need to check who has called, texted, etc? And also can I make a call with my British iPhone 4 in another country ( with the british sim inserted) ?

I'm getting a lot of just googe it replies. But people, I have googled it, and there's not a clear answer.

Got my MicroSim from O2 with no problem on Friday. They just took my name/address then handed me the sim package. Completed the steps online, and my number was transferred over within 2 hours.

Was that PAYG or a monthly fee thing? How much did you have to pay?
How much money do you spend on your phone in a month?

yea O2 seem to be the only ones who are giving them away for free.

everyone else you have to actually to top it up and pay for the micro sim at the same time.

I havent tried vodafone yet though.

Aaaah, this is so slow, I ordered my iPhone 4 from apple.com/uk 20 september and it still not shipped, what's up with this? I mean US got 5-7 days delivery and UK says "2 weeks" but I've waited 22 days... baaah, how long have the wait been for you?

I ordered mine on the 26th of September and delivery should be next Wednesday according to the site. Surely you should have yours by now, if not this week?

On PAYG you have no minimum spend, it would be a good idea not to go more than 6 months without making a call or sending a text though.

Odd yours hasn't come in yet. I received mine before the due delivey date. I was impressed! :)

Finally got my 32GB iPhone 4 from Apple Online. I had the 3 week wait, it arrived on Thursday and now I'm going to my nearest Apple Store to return it tonight, as my Vibrate function does not work. Not impressed.

I was concerned about suffering death grip issues, but didn't expect the vibrate function not to work from the get go. Anyone else experienced this with brand new iPhones?

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for my iPhone now and it's finally gonna be delivered tomorrow so if my vibrate function doesn't work I'll be extremely mad. I hope you get your phone sorted tonight!

do I have chance to buy one, if I run into apple store on Regent Street on 28th.10. in the morning (felling like P diddy) and I want to pay it with cash?

The 16gb model is now showing as 1 week to despatch from the Apple Store, although I've been waiting for mine for over 2 weeks now. I guess I'll just have to be patient!

It was still 2 weeks last night. My estimated dispatch date is 01 Nov, 2010. I hope it'll take less time. One week would be awesome!
