I hate to say it, but I think I have just found the best iPhone tariff in the UK. Good times.
However, it will say TESCO at the top of your phone. Bad times.
24 month contract? Very bad times...
here you go hope this helps http://www.cellbharat.com/blog/7418/tip-to-convert-sim-card-to-microsim-card/

Yes, you can unlock your iPhone for a one-off cost of £15. You'll pay for this from the money topped-up on your phone.
But if you unlock your iPhone less than 12 months after you bought it, we'll take off the free Web & Wi-Fi Bolt On (that we added for the first 12 months). You can buy a Web & Wi-Fi Bolt On for £10 a month when you fill in the unlocking form. Find out more about the Web & Wi-Fi Bolt On here.
Complete the unlocking form - it will take up to 14 days for the iPhone to be unlocked and we'll text you to confirm the unlock request.
Place a non-O2 sim into the iPhone and connect it to iTunes via a USB cable. iTunes will confirm that your iPhone has been successfully unlocked.
Is it unethical to take a 'sickie' on launch date do you think?![]()
Hey people, I came up with an Idea to get iPhone unlocked and keep the PAYG 12Month Free Internet Bolt-on on O2 - tell me what you think about it
Quoting from O2 website:
When I bought my 3G 16GB, I got the iPhone in one box, from store warehouse, and the sim card in an envelope at the cash till.
There was no way for them to know that this number is associated with this particular model of the iPhone.
What would happen if I never used the NEW simcard in the envelope (the one with 12 month free internet) - and instead I put in an OLD O2 simcard and requested the unlock of the phone?
If they asked about it the NEW simcard I would tell them that I just threw it away, as I wanted to keep my old number and did not know about the free internet.
They surely would not be able to cancel the bolt-on on the new, still unused NEW simcard? Because how would they know that this simcard went to me? I do not leave my name and they do not run a credit check on me when I but a PAYG phone.
Do you think it would work?
PS. The situation with buying iPhone 3G happened 18 months ago, I'm just thinking about pulling this off when buying the new iPhone 4G. I'm going abroad for the whole summer, but then I'm comming back to UK so I will need both the unlock and free internet. And I assume that ultrasn0w will not be available for quite some time, just like it was with the 3GS.
Unethical, possibly. Justified, yes.
Think how much more work you could get done with a new phone!
See you in the queue?![]()
Just sold my 3G 8GB for £255.
Will post it off on monday.. Hope the wait isn't too long for iPhone 4...
