I've got a chat window up. Says I have to wait 3 seconds. Been waiting 3 minutes.

Got it up through the MB Air product and also one pops up if you go through Mac Pro

I had the Chat icon up but I clicked off it just as I noticed and haven't managed to get it back haha.

Will you ask how people will get their Micro SIMs if you pre order and get it delivered to your home address?

Guys take a look at my chat with Deborah at Apple!

Deborah:
Hi, my name is Deborah L. Welcome to Apple!
Good evening.
How may I assist you today?

Me:
hii
just a quick question about iPhone 4.

Deborah:
Hi
I'm happy to assist with that.
The new iPhone 4 will be available for pre order on June 15th, and the cost will be the same as our current 3Gs models.

Me:
Really? The same cost?
so what would the price of a Pay as you go 16GB iPhone 4 be?

Deborah:
Please refer to the current iPhone pricing for the 3Gs, and also the pricing will be formally announced on June 15th.

Me:
but it will be the same price yes?

Deborah:
Only a couple of days away, don't forget to pre order yours.
We are expecting the details on June 15th.
Please check back then.

Me:
ok
last question.
will you be able to reserve one online for instore collection?

Deborah:
Online will be the fastest way to reserve yours.
I see. Thanks for that.
That may also be an option.
You're welcome.
Thank you for visiting the Apple Store. We appreciate your business. If you would like more help, please chat with us again.

Me:
Are you buying a iPhone 4?

*deborah rage quits*

I also have a screen cap which I will upload later tonight. Going out now.

She sort of contradicts herself, 'we are expecting details on the 15th'

She gives nothing away!

If we're to believe this guy, she says that the iPhone 4 will be the same price as the current 3Gs range, so GB will be 449? and GB will be 499?

If this is the case, I'll be getting the 32GB one. I have £500 in my head as to where I'll draw the line, I say this and probably pay over if needs be, and if I can get the 32GB on for £499, then it'll be great!

I struggle to fill my 8GB phone, admittedly I am careful about music being put on there, but it'll be easier to sell come the next iPhone (although if its like the 3Gs was to the 3G, I'll give 2011's a miss, and go straight to 2012's.)

Ok, purchased my 1 month iPhone simplicity plan and getting it delivered in 3-5 days. Let's hope the iphone handset price is the same as the current 3GS! Although I have a feeling they will up the price.

I won't believe anything about any prices until I see them on either the apple store or the appropriate networks website.

Until then all we can do is hope for the best and get our credit or debit cards ready for Tuesday.

The only way I think they will release the 16gb at £450 is if they dropped the price of the 16gb 3GS down to the original 3G price of £350. If the price of the 3GS remains at £440/£449 then the £10 or so price difference is too small for people ever to choose the 3GS over the iPhone 4 but a £90-£100 price difference could work for Apple to sell both units.

Pretty sure I read Apple wanted to drop, or freeze the prices of the iPhone to remain (I think even if they sold them at £700 for the basic model it'd still be) competitive with the smart phones.

However, I could have dreamed this. I'm actually sure If I was even a slight bit more excited for the iPhone 4, I wouldn't be sleeping! :p

I got a Blackberry Bold 9700 on contract a couple of months ago but I just haven't 'clicked' with it. It's a nice phone but I can't help regretting getting it in the first place.

So, I was wondering if it would be possible to use this sim in a PAYG iPhone 4? It's on Vodafone by the way.

Apple wont be selling the 16GB 3GS once the iPhone 4 comes out, Steve announced they will be selling an 8GB iPhone 3GS, from the 24th onwards. So I still believe iPhone 4 prices will be the same as the older 16GB/32GB 3GS prices.

Thats exactly what I was going to say.

So the 16GB will be in place of the 3GS, same with the 32GB, but they'll have the 8GB 3GS.

I like the look of that, seems balanced. Hopefully the pricing will be what we've been told and stay at the 3GS prices!

Even if they dropped the unlimited data I'm not that bothered. I've worked out that by going on Simplicity I'll be paying less in the long run over the 18 months compared to a normal 18month contract.

Oh I did not realise that so that is even better if that is the case! So on Tuesday then will the 16/32gb 3GS disappear from the apple store or not until they have sold all of the 'old' units?

They are still selling the 3GS, it is the plain old 3G they are getting rid of.

No becuase your iPhone 4 is going to use a Micro-Sim

I am getting confused a few comments above mine stated that the 16gb 3GS won't be sold once the iphone 4 comes out.

Can see why apple would drop the 3G but as for the 3GS I cannot see any reason why they would drop that.

So to clarify are Apple dropping the 16/32gb 3GS or not??

Yes. It's 8GB 3GS 16GB 4 and 32GB 4 on sale as of 25th

The 16/32gb 3gs will be replaced by a new 8gb 3gs. The 3g will no longer be sold and the iphone 4 will be 16/32 gb.

So from 24th range will be 8gb 3gs, 16/32gb iphone 4. :):)
