Yes they do.
As someone who is still up at 3:29AM and not planning to go to bed for a while, I can assure you that O2's site (or at least parts of it) is down most nights!
The thing I'm slightly interested in is on O2 Ireland's site:

I have no idea if they list specific times every day that the site goes down, or if they are planning to announce something at 8AM (BST). The UK version of O2 might do the same.

The condition and age of the unit paid for itself, plus the fact I sold it with the official dock and a white Incase Slider, and that the buyer was my best mate.

I've seen pre-order from 15th on the US Apple site, but the UK site and o2 site just say available from 24th with no mention of pre-ordering.

i really hope all the carriers release their tariffs and handset prices (payg) today... well.. they'd have to right seeing as pre-orders can be made from apple uk online store: http://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/notify-me/
The 15th is tomorrow, so they could announce pricing then.
Funnily enough, O2 is having a nationwide data outage at the moment!
wow just got an email from vodafone saying update..... there was no update just saying we'll let you know when you can pre-order soon....... why do they even bother sending these pointless emails out?

So hopefully we will be able to pre-order within the next 24 hours.
However when I go shopping with the wife she always says she needs accessories to go with the dress we have just spent three hours finding, only to have found it in the first shop we went in so with that in mind what accessories are you gonna order with it?
Will those bumper things be any good and what is your colour of choice?
Also are you gonna get a black or white iPhone?

For just the phone for the meantime and maybe just maybe one of those little sleeve things as I hate screen protectors.
leaving it till tomorrow is a bit late isn't it? i'm sure pre-orders will start on the apple store quite early in the morning.

just crappy marketing to keep you interested. i just don't understand the mentality. even with O2's drip feeding info is stupid. just release all the info in 1 press release.. simple.. done.

I've always used screen protectors on my iPod touches and iPhone's ...
Then again, that's because I'm such a nerd that I can put them on so well you'd never know there was one on the thing.
With the iPhone 4 having a stainless steel surround and glass on the front and back, using a case or protector shouldn't be required this time round though.

I always get it wrong so it looks really bad which might explain why I don't like them lol

Its more about Fingerprints really, especially on the black.

This is very true.
On saying that, with the flat back of the iPhone 4, at least applying a protective skin to the back will be as easy as applying a screen protector to the front.
You'll find that screen protectors will come in a double pack now, a screen cover and back cover. Suits me, I'll still keep it well protected ... especially if it's costing me anywhere from £449 (PAYG).
