In my frantic ordering the other night, I ordered from two phones for the same line. One from Verizon and the other from Apple. Since the SIM cards are preinstalled and tied to a phone number, do you guys think they will cancel the orders or ship them? I contacted both vzw and Apple, the only advise was to cancel and reorder!
Wait until you receive the two phones, and then return one of them.

Anyone only seeing "processing" on their order?
You won't see movement until Monday or Tuesday. Mine is the same.

Did you pay for them outright? if you did, you can buy as many phones you want for that line. When you get them, just return one of them, and get your money back. As far as sim cards, you can use your old sim card. Just remove the sim card from the X before turning it on, insert old one, and it will still activate.

I bought outright from apple and they took the upgrade and charged me an upgrade fee. Per verizon they will be releasing when the phone is activated and they will waive the fee.

Not me. I won't buy insurance that costs 20% of the actual phone price.

Apple provides the first year free coverage. I am going to upgrade at next year's anticipated iPhone X Plus. So I don't need to pay for Apple Care + because it does not kick in until the second year. I won't have the phone a second year. The only coverage I am considering is Verizon's coverage because it covers lost and theft and Apple's does not. I might not get Verizon's coverage because it's about $10 per month, if I'm not mistaken. That's about a fourth of my monthly payments!
[doublepost=1509217345][/doublepost]If you purchased the iPhone X on an installment through Verizon, did you notice that the installment contract was immediately posted to your account. You can navigate to it through your Verizon online account or the Verizon mobile app.

I tired in the 3am too go thru Apple Store App got in 3:05 but the Verizon Device plan gave an error,
had my laptop open at Verizon Site signed in and was able to place order for Apple Apple® iPhone® X 256GB in Space Gray
Order Date: 10/27/2017
Deliver By: 11/03/2017
got a SMS for Citi credit at 3:08 meaning it went thru email from Verizon at 3:33am confirmation

Verizon rep while chatting online told me my ship by 11/3 date means it will not ship until that day. So that sucks.

Untrue. It says that every year and with only a minor exception (my fault) it has always shown up on launch day. The reps don’t know and I wish they would stop spread false info.

Sort of the same for me. At 2:56AM i got my order confirmation on the iphone x 256gb for 11/3 delivery.

At 3:46 i got a SMS from chase telling me that they approved a charged of $0.00 for VZWRLSS. I just needed to confirm that it was a valid transaction.

I think people are going to start seeing the Verizon charges starting monday at least.

Why are we the only carrier to not see orders move to preparing for shipment. Again, all I can think is my awful experience last year with the matte black 7+. Order never moved from processing even though reps said it was all good. Had a launch day estimate and had to go to a store instead.

The rep was wrong. If you look at your confirmation page, it says "deliver by November 3." Don't be worried that the website or app says ship by...

That's exactly what I'm seeing on mine. Even saw "Deliver by Nov. 3" on the email confirmation. Got my Mophie charger and Spigen case today in the mail.

Concerning my comment earlier on no credit card movement, I more meant the $1 charges people are getting...I thought everyone gets those ahead of time...but I've used this card a couple years in a row now so maybe that won't be needed? I'm not expecting any actual movement till Tuesday or Wednesday, when I then have to call that CORE department to change my shipping address

Its the weekend. And for many of us, (if not most) our phones are already in the US. And the Verizon location code shown on your order confirmation is the closest hub to your delivery address. If you were to see movement, it would probably say "preparing for shipment." And it would stay in that state for several more days much like Amazon orders. It will only take 1 -2 business days for the carrier to get your phone to you. The status should change Monday or Tuesday.

Verizon charged my American Excess card $0.00 for some reason. lol I was expecting the $1.00 pre-authorization.

Fair enough and that makes sense. I’m probably so skeptical after last year and jumping the gun like crazy lol

There is no reason for the orders to have moved. The standard free shipping that ensures launch day delivery is a 2-day service. The overwhelming majority of phones will ship on 11/1. All the other carriers have done is process shipping labels and such. It doesn’t mean much. I could generate a shipping label right now and not actually ship the item until late next week.

went into my local Verizon store today to order. They had no idea what they were doing - had to look up price (it was 10 more than real price) and didn't seem to know how to do it. Coudn't seem to figure out what my 6s was worth on trade in. So I left - will do online or via Apple. You think with interest in X they would have some idea what they are doing.

Yea I got the same issue with chase which I cleared via text. My order says pending with ship date of Nov 3rd. Not sure if others who ordered before or shortly after 3 am est are seeing pending as well.

So what color did everyone go with and why? Every Apple device I get, I go with a different color than what I did on my current device, so I got Jet Black last time, this time I went with Silver. I also liked the Silver idea, thinking it will show scratches less.

I ordered an X this morning via the Verizon app (will be delivered on December 1st). I didn't do the trade-in on my current phone (6 plus), since I didn't want to change to the unlimited plan. So I can bring my 6 plus to a Verizon store after I get my X, and trade in the phone for cash/credit then?
