So. I technically work for Verizon. But it's a stretch.

Just got cancelation notice on all three Phones I bought. They are cancelling all Verizon employee orders until further notice.

They told me most likely January or February for employees. I am. Pissed. Nothing I can do but switch carriers.

When you order how do they know you are an employee? You received an employee discount? Don't ask for the discount. Then you are a regular consumer and should be treated as such.

You know, when I went into a store recently (about a week ago Sunday) to get a new iPad and was talking to one of the employees about the iPhone X, she mentioned then that employees wouldn’t be allowed to purchase the phones until later. I didn’t think that would be true as a consumer is a consumer, but you just confirmed it... Sorry to hear that, I know it’s gotta suck big time....

Their employment status could very well be attached to their account, so there might be no way of skirting it

Because it's an employee account with 50% discounts on all services (yay!) But get the worse service customer service apparently LOL.

Just ordered a full price from Sprint, comes 11/13.....will cancel sprint ASAP and just live without the phone for about 2 weeks later. Oh well. I'll live.

Course the wife hasn't stopped laughing at me for getting up at 2:45 AM and losing a night of sleep...

Anyone getting applecare, since it's not included in the monthly payment program? Seems like it's especially "worth it" for this phone.

It’s a must, IMO.

Even though I’ve had AppleCare in the past, this is the first iPhone for me that truly warrants the extra coverage.

I got it. If I do accidentally drop my phone and the screen shatters etc., it will be cheaper than repairing out of pocket. While I don't expect a problem, I have dropped my phone a few times. Good thing I had it in a case.

From reading all these threads it seems the majority is receiving their phones on th 11/3 except for me lol. I’m receiving mine on 11/10. I even ordered mine 5 minuets early on the Verizon app but it froze up in the end. I wish I had tried it earlier.

Except me too... my date is 12/6, but I did not order mine until like 8am est.

I’m on the fence but leaning pretty close to just pulling the trigger and getting it
how much is apple care? is it a monthly thing or one time payment?

do you have to make the payment every time you get a new phone?

One-time payment ($199.00) that can be made at purchase or within 60 days, if I am not mistaken.

One time payment. For the X, it’s $199. You can purchase directly from Apple but I’ve seen that Verizon is offering it as well

Excuse my ignorance but ive had an iphone 6 for 3 years. Never bought insurance or Applecare. Whats the difference between the apple care for $200 vs the $11 a month you pay monthly through verizon for the X

In my frantic ordering the other night, I ordered from two phones for the same line. One from Verizon and the other from Apple. Since the SIM cards are preinstalled and tied to a phone number, do you guys think they will cancel the orders or ship them? I contacted both vzw and Apple, the only advise was to cancel and reorder!

Did you pay for them outright? if you did, you can buy as many phones you want for that line. When you get them, just return one of them, and get your money back. As far as sim cards, you can use your old sim card. Just remove the sim card from the X before turning it on, insert old one, and it will still activate.

They have told me that before on other phones and the phone always end up being delivered on that date. I would expect the phone on 11/3.
It’s funny, soon after posting this, my account updated to “Deliver by 11/3” haha thanks for the reply!

I'm pissed how I have a 1:56am cst confirmation email with an 11/3 date, but no movement not even a credit card charge...is anyone else in my boat?

I have had previous orders show no movement until very late the day before release date. Still received on release day, though.

Everybody that ordered their phone through apple is seeing their phones ship out from China. They're able to track their orders through reference numbers using their phone numbers or order numbers onUPS website. I know Verizon uses FedEx so is there anything similar we can do?
