Did you pay with a bank debit card or an actual credit card?
you probably did. i called verizon about this, and you probably got a 0.00 charge on your card for verification, it just won't show on your online bank transactions.

I traded my 6s Plus in and I declined the switch to an unlimited plan. It was an option.I ordered an X this morning via the Verizon app (will be delivered on December 1st). I didn't do the trade-in on my current phone (6 plus), since I didn't want to change to the unlimited plan. So I can bring my 6 plus to a Verizon store after I get my X, and trade in the phone for cash/credit then?
No $1 pre-authorization on debit cards. Only credit cards. It’s different.
Correct. It’s slighty different than the $1 pre-authorization for credit card orders.you probably did. i called verizon about this, and you probably got a 0.00 charge on your card for verification, it just won't show on your online bank transactions.
Same here, I didn’t get a charge as well. Still says ship by Nov 3rd, and I chatted with Verizon and the order is fine. But still concerned.Welp that has me worried now. Used a CC and have had no charges at all from Verizon. Weird.
Yea I got the same issue with chase which I cleared via text. My order says pending with ship date of Nov 3rd. Not sure if others who ordered before or shortly after 3 am est are seeing pending as well.
I really hope your right and I’m just being impatient.yea.. i know people want the phone as early as possible but if on the email confirmation sent by verizon says "delivered by 11/3" then you are going to it on launch day, regardless if it says pending/processing or delivered/shipped.![]()
The biggest difference, aside from cost, is that AppleCare doesn't cover loss or theft. In my iPhone experience, $20 on Amazon will get you a case and glass screen protector strong enough to protect from normal drops and scratches. I'd only get insurance if I were going caseless, prone to losing my phone, or involved in extreme activities with it.Excuse my ignorance but ive had an iphone 6 for 3 years. Never bought insurance or Applecare. Whats the difference between the apple care for $200 vs the $11 a month you pay monthly through verizon for the X
Not only are the monthly premiums high, but when I actually had to make a claim, the deductible was $200! So almost two year's worth of $11 payments, and a $200 deductible got me a refurbished iPhone 6 Plus that I needed to return just in order to trade up for the 7 Plus. No thanks.Apple provides the first year free coverage. I am going to upgrade at next year's anticipated iPhone X Plus. So I don't need to pay for Apple Care + because it does not kick in until the second year. I won't have the phone a second year. The only coverage I am considering is Verizon's coverage because it covers lost and theft and Apple's does not. I might not get Verizon's coverage because it's about $10 per month, if I'm not mistaken. That's about a fourth of my monthly payments!
[doublepost=1509217345][/doublepost]If you purchased the iPhone X on an installment through Verizon, did you notice that the installment contract was immediately posted to your account. You can navigate to it through your Verizon online account or the Verizon mobile app.
Same here. Used my Citibank Double Cash Card & I haven’t seen a charge at all.Same here, I didn’t get a charge as well. Still says ship by Nov 3rd, and I chatted with Verizon and the order is fine. But still concerned.
So what color did everyone go with and why? Every Apple device I get, I go with a different color than what I did on my current device, so I got Jet Black last time, this time I went with Silver. I also liked the Silver idea, thinking it will show scratches less.
The installment will be stuck on that line. They are not able to move installments from one line to another. You can use your main phone number on the X but you’ll have to keep that second line with the installments for the X on there =(

Someone corrected me. I was incorrect in my statement. You should be all good to gobut I can keep the X and new line get rid of 8 and old line right?
Yes I am. I am going to take the phone to the Apple Store and buy it since I forgot to order it with the phone.
It is pointless IMO. But it quickly becomes valuable if your phone gets lost or stolen. Then, you'd save almost a grand on the higher model, even after the deductible.Seems pointless to pay $11 per month, when u have a $200 deductible on top of it
Thanks so much! Love how helpful people on this forum are.You may have a few options, but changing your delivery address is one of those sticky situations that if attempted can cause VZW to mess up your order... I would be hesitant to try. I have personally had issues in the past trying to change things that cause orders to get cancelled or delayed.
Depending on who they use to ship the phone, from my experience it varies on your location, you can pay to change the delivery address. UPS charges $5 for a web request and $6 if you request this by phone (I added links below to their FAQ on the topic) -- if you are not a paying MyChoice member. You usually have to have the membership with UPS in place before hand and some packages cannot be rerouted, but you will be able to tell once you get the tracking number. FedEx has something similar (links below).
If you get the request in early enough they can sometimes still deliver it the same day that it was originally expected, something it takes an extra day or two (remember that you are butting up against a weekend). Either scenario may be faster (and cheaper) than having the phone sent home then having it sent to you. Just watch for your tracking and as soon as you get it, contact the shipper.

Hope this helps!
Jump the line worked for me last year after my payment triggered a fraud alert and cancelled my order. Took a few calls thoHad a situation today and looking for advice from anyone who has been down a similar road.
Got my preorders in for 3 X's between 2 and 215 am and all have 11/3 delivery dates. Super pumped.
Fast forward to today and I get a fraud alert on my credit card. I was initially annoyed because I called and had my acct notated that these phones would be getting charged and they were legitimate. Well I called in and some bum tried to charge 3400 through a PayPal transaction with my card. So bank had to cancel cc and send new ones.
My immediate thought was that Verizon hadn't billed me yet. Called in and talked to a really nice rep. She wasn't able to edit the payment info but told me to call in Wednesday and they would either be able to edit by then or would do a jump the line request for me. She put a bunch of notes in the acct. Question is should I wait for Wednesday to do the jump the line or just have them go ahead and process it, does this jump the line actually work?? Would they not call for a different payment option if the card fails and the notes are in the systEm? Anyone have any thoughts or advice on this? Pretty bummed right now.
The $11 a month with Verizon also covers theft. Applecare doesn't.Excuse my ignorance but ive had an iphone 6 for 3 years. Never bought insurance or Applecare. Whats the difference between the apple care for $200 vs the $11 a month you pay monthly through verizon for the X
256 SG, I love black (or black-ish) colored devices. Goes with my gothic/punk aesthetic >.<So what color did everyone go with and why?
