What the hell man? Same thing happened to me but I got my order for 2 phones in a few minutes before that and mine aren't shipping until 11/15. Grr.
Did you get charged anything upfront on your card? I was told by the chat rep that I wasn't charged anything, although now that I have my confirmation email it says I was charged to my debit. Don't see confirmation with my bank though.
There is no reason not to. Even though I got in early my order is showing a purchase date of 11/27
Isn't everyone getting hit with the $30 upgrade fee? I read an article before that said, as of earlier this year, even if you buy an iPhone direct from Apple, paid-in-full up front, that you still get hit with the upgrade fee. Total rape.
btw- same with buying any phone direct from mfr. even if you purchase a pixel 2 from google, etc...

With debit cards, you won't see it deduct from your account until right before it ships.
So I'm on the phone with a Verizon rep to change my email to have my order info sent to. And now he sent me it but he's saying I'm supposed to accept the terms and conditions in the email but theres no place to accept them??? I thought I already excepted that stuff when placing my preorder? I'm on hold now. He said the terms and conditions are pending and he's gonna find a way to send them in ANOTHER email? Anyone have this going on? Hope my delivery date is still 11/3!
I got my order confirmation at 12:04
Credit card was charged $1 and then -$1 around that time.

Odd I signed mine during the order process and got a confirmation email right away. I assume I’m good to go
Seriously.... Was up with my phone and my PC auto refreshing... Tried Apple (app) and Verizon (app) and both sites.... Everything kept crashing until about 3:09 EDT. Got an order for a 256 SG with a ship/delivery of 11/15... Totally pissed after having been up all this time and following the useless advice of the Mac Rumors preorder guide (saved in favorites on Apple app) only to have Apple refuse to accept the early upgrade. I was simultaneously going through Verizon but kept crashing until I finally got through...

There is a selector (2 radio buttons) on one of the pages. The default is 24 months each month though, so unless you selected the pre-paid option that's probably what you got. It's not easy to see though because the unselected option turns gray, making it hard to see and even if you do see it, you might think that means unavailable.
I ordered on my mother’s account, we live at the same address currently and when I submitted my debit card, it accepted it, but when I looked in the confirmation email, it lists our address but it lists her name under the “Bill To” info, it wouldnt allow me to change that stuff on the order screen so hopefully that doesn’t screw me when it goes to charge my debit card?
Has anyone ever not activated the phone from Verizon and just took it to some other company by just inserting the SIM? (AT&T in this case for me).
Ordered 2 phones, both 64 GB space gray, both have 11/15 delivery (not ship) dates. I did get confirmation emails (with "preorder confirmation" #) a few minutes later. If I had gone to Verizon at the beginning instead of wasting my time with the Apple site and app, I could have gotten 11/3 delivery though.
Space Grey models are slipping into early December now. At the end of the day, it might be into X'mas!

Maybe. Maybe not. I logged into Verizon 5 minutes before 3. Did not see options to buy iPhone X. Kept refreshing until 3 and then finally the iPhone X populated. Then the site crapped out. Couldn't not get any page to refresh. When they did, they bounced back to login screen. It was a nightmare.
Finally, around 3:45, got mostly through the system and got to checkout. Then it errored out at checkout. Order got pushed through after hundreds of refreshes and re-clicks around 4:15. 256gb Silver with Nov 15 delivery. Not great but not the end of the world.
Just very frustrating how poor the Verizon site was. I've always ordered my phones on launch day on the Verizon site and never had a problem. This was the worst experience I've had with it. Was also trying app at same time and having same checkout problem. Basically, the servers were overloaded.
Congrats to all the people that got in early. Saved yourselves a ton of grief and heartache b/c the system came crashing down around 3:01 for me.
So, everything is good. The Rep said just because I wanted to change emails for my confirmation I had to accept the terms and conditions of that. But I still have an 11/3 ship date! He kept trying to push getting insurance for the phone though. But he was very helpful.
I spoke with a Verizon rep about changing the email address for my ordered and worried it'd change my ship date and he said it wouldn't because I already placed the order. However, he said if I wanted to change the billing or shipping address that they'd have to cancel the order and replace it therefore giving you a later delivery date.
