It's the same stuff every year. You ordered from VZ, it always feels like it's going to be a sh&*show, it almost always isn't and for the very few that it is... everyone back-pats you and sympathizes that you can't inhale the offgas from the unboxing as soon as the others do. Relax.

Enjoy that these are your problems in this world and not finding a bite to eat or staying warm. It's a great time to be alive if you're in here stressing about a cell phone delivery date.

I agree, same stuff every year. People start tripping then someone like you decides they need to lecture because they know best.

Don’t front like you won’t be butthurt if you don’t get your phone on the 3rd LOL
 
I don't know if someone here can help me. I made a mistake by buying the 8+ and then returned it, I kept my 7+ that was payed off holding off for the X and then decided I couldn't justify the X and got the 8+ again. Last night I was curious as to how fast it was selling and it let me pre order early making me of course order the X but I had to do it with a new line since there was no option to return the 8. (Im still on the 14 day period until Nov 7). When the X arrives can I take back the 8+ and cancel that line ( I don't mind losing my number) and stay with the X?

So I couldn't get into the Apple App/website till at earliest 3:10am EST. That forced me to look at the Verizon website which I ended up getting a Silver 256GB for Nov 3 buying it outright. I received the Apple Reservation email to sign up for their IUP, but that phone delivers Nov 17. Would it be a problem to return the Verizon bought iPhone closer to the 14 days, hoping the IUP phone comes in earlier? Maybe sell the Verizon on eBay?

If you want, sell the extra one on E-Bay. Don't be one of these awful people that you read are ordering and opening up multiple iPhones with the full intention of returning them. That's like going to a party with 100 guests where the buffet is only stocked for 50 and then knowingly grabbing more than you can eat, and then going up and putting the cold leftovers back on the buffet table.
 
So when trying to place an order, I was having difficulty on the VZ site. I ended up ordering one for a new one and one for the current line (which is the one I actually wanted). Last night I decided to cancel the new line since I did not need it. When I cancelled online, I hit the button to cancel under the new line, but instead they cancelled the current lines order!
Advice on what to do please. Should I try to get this fixed prior to this new line shipping and see if they can just change the phone to my current line or just wait till I get the new line phone and have someone change it for me then. Of course I have an 11/3 date and don't want to mess that up.
 
Anyone else having trouble logging into the Version website this morning? After entering my password, I click on the continue button but nothing happens.

Edited to add: Found out it was Adguard Pro that was causing the problem.
 
Paid full price at Apple.com and they card upgrade fee and took my upgrade eligibility away ? Has that happened to to others ? Spoke to VZ and they waived the fee and said once I activate they will make the line upgrade eligible again

I managed to get into the Verizon site at 2:55am est and pre order the silver 256gb for a EDD of 11/03/17! Fingers crossed it doesn’t get delayed! Love this time of year! Can’t wait to see how progress goes with shipping!

I got my SG 256 X order in at 2:58am. Hopefully this year I actually get a launch day phone. Last time I pre ordered the 7plus through VZ the order stayed in processing the entire time and I had to eventually cancel and go to a store to find one

I see some of you are getting credits for the $30 upgrade fee (activation fee?) anyway, we ordered 2 and got 2 $30 fees. What are you saying to customer service to get them to waive it or at least credit the account? I see some say it wasn’t supposed to be charged and some said it’s a penalty we aren’t supposed to have?
 
I know there are ways to find your tracking number with UPS using references numbers but is there a back door way with FEDEX?

If you create a log-in with FedEx delivery manager using the exact name your iPhone was purchased under and add the exact address your iPhone was purchased with to the delivery manager, when a FedEx label is created for your iPhone, FedEx will immediately notify you. Just make sure you set the delivery manager to notify you via email and/or text.

Same boat as you.it might be that our phones are already in the states so we might not get movement till tuesday or Wednesday.
The way it looks people who have been charged thier phone is coming from china.

Indeed - I am struggling with the $30 fee being such a big deal for folks when they they purchased a $1,000 phone. I get that the fee is a rip-off, but I will gladly pay it to Verizon for the sole reason that they opened up pre-orders early yesterday.

They didn’t purposely do it early, they did it “early” so it would be open on time.

I said that iPhone 8 orders weren’t being charged an upgrade fee and that others were also mistakenly charged. They’ll tell you it’s a legit charge but press through.

I used two different cards for my two orders to try and avoid the charges getting flagged. Although it’s just taxes since it’s the payment plan. Well they did get flagged anyway - because Verizon put through two $0 authorizations. Luckily Chase authorized/approved them first and then asked me to confirm that they were valid - which I did. But they’ve dropped off now.

Edit: Ordered at 2:56AM AND 2:58AM ET from Verizon. Email confirmations were recieved almost immediately. Ordered 256GB SG and 256GB Silver with a date of 11/3 for both.
