Ordered Jan 14th. Still no change.
Killing me...
I feel you. Is your ship date Feb. 13?

Well, isn't that just fabulous... The reason my order was delayed is that the printer that's on the order is now out of stock. It was in stock yesterday, but by the time they came to actually send my order out there were no more of that printer in stock. Rather than tell me that, they simply silently changed my ship date. No email. No phone call. Nothing. It's only because I've been checking that order status page every day for the past few weeks since I ordered it, that I noticed the change.
Printer changed, but even though the machine was ready to ship yesterday, it's now going to be shipped on 25th Feb and delivered by 5th March.
NOT VERY HAPPY. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that the computer is going to be delivered, but at this rate it'll be mid-product-cycle and I'll be better off waiting and ordering one in a few months!
Well, not really. My order has always said it ships on Feb 12th and my credit card was authorised for the transaction on Monday 11th. The Apple Store guy said it was going to ship but there were no printers to send.Mr.PS said:As for your wait, I know how it feels, hopefully they ship it all soon. The 8800GT was shipped early after all. We should all technically still be waiting 2 weeks.

Yep. I've been stuck on "Prepared for shipment" for the past 12 hours. How long did it take for yours to go from prepared to actually shipped?
Thrillz3,
Have you had any additional updates on your UPS tracking info? I still haven't seen any updates to mine... for all I know, it could still be in California :-(
Took me around 20 hours
Aye aye aye. I thought ppl were getting there's turned out from prepared to actually shipping in a matter of hours.
Snagit, what is the ship by date on your 1/15 order?
Snagit, did you order a 3.0 unit . . . ? How'd you spec out your machine? If I EVER get my MP shipped. (ordered 1/15)

I'm curious since I ordered only a week ago. That's weird.

True, but at this point if Steve's pool man can get me my MP, I'd be happy.Interesting (about the email and call).
Of course, by one definition everyone who works for Apple is SJ's assistant.
But keep us posted on what happens.

I'm pulling for you guys!
The Apple rep said that once it changes to preparing to ship, that is when they start putting the computer together.
Basically, Apple checks credit card authorization, once the payment is authorized, but not withdrawn, they start making the computer. It isn't until it actually ships that the card is charged.
I'll update the preparing to ship to ship time I experience.
