Sold my Droid X on Friday, I'll be up at 2AM central to order my iPhone.
I ended up timing my Droid X purchase perfectly, I picked it up in August with a 1 year contract, so I'm eligible for an upgrade come June. In the end, total cost for iPhone 4 and 5 will be ~$200.
Got $300 for the X, I'll pay $650 for iPhone 4 (down $350), sell iPhone 4 for $400 in June (up $50), and pick up iPhone 5 at promo price for $200 (total out of pocket $150).
Just gotta buy big once, and ride the wave of sales.

Haha I was using Flightaware.com to track the FedEx plane my 4th gen iPod Touch was on last September. Good times...

my droid pro will be on the shelf for a bit i will order the iphone because its the only phone that i had for more then a year without switching. my clock is set to wake me up at 3am to preorder the phone.but once we order it when do we get it is my question?
I don't know about you, but I suggest getting up a bit earlier than that. It takes time to start up the computer and get ready to go, you know!

I am on the edge of buying the iPhone 4. I do really want it. It's just the monthly pay that is going to increase on the family plan if I get the iPhone. The deal breaker for me will be the hassle of getting my order in on the website. If I have no trouble then I will have it. If it takes more than 15-30 minutes, then I will wait in the future.

Definitely jumping on the iPhone 4. I'll be there at 3a.m., groggy and blurry-eyed. Eager to get rid of my LG Dare, which I've had since July 2008. I've been waiting for a nice phone for a long time.. and for the iPhone to come to VZW for even longer. Can't wait!

Am I missing something here? I thought the pre-order was only available to people who were upgrade eligible right now, in turn getting it at the subsidized pricing. I am seeing numerous people talking about how they are going to pre-order tomorrow for full price though?
Yup. Tomorrow i'm pre-ordering at full retail. The 3rd is for existing customers whether they are upgrade eligible or not. The 10th is for new customers.
