calm down people. the phones always have october dates sometimes and then we get them release date. I ordered mine at 3:12. so yea i doubt its only coming october 17.
This maybe the one year it doesnt happen. There are a ton of countries on this launch and there are some rumors of apple only just a couple weeks tried to increase production from what they had currently planned.

But I agree either way calm down

I'm glad I only wanted a 7 not plus. I was able to get in shortly after 3 am and order the Black Matte 32 GB coming 9/16. My only regret is that I didn't wait awhile as now I could get the same phone for pick up at the Apple store on 9/16 that would have been easier and I could have used my gift cards. My punishment for impatience.

Yes I think the black would have been a nightmare. The rose gold was probably the easiest to get this year. Ironically it was probably the hardest to get last year and I wasn't interested at all because I didn't like the way it looked in pictures. You also have 14 days after you get the phone to try and do an exchange in store. Last year I got silver and in my 14 exchange period I made two reservations for the gold 6S plus in the same capacity, however unfortunatley I was suffering from bad morning sickness/fatigue and couldn't get down to the store.
Call me a male pig if you wish maybe it's the way society has program us, but when I'm in these boards I'm always picturing other weirdo geeky guys like myself. Lol. Your a breath of fresh air.

If I do order a 7 or 7+, it will be in December. I bought my 6S and 6S+ in December last year. I ordered the 6S+ sim free from Apple and got it overnighted with no problems. The 6S was ordered from T-Mobile and even though it was December, I had to wait a few weeks because they kept selling out in the color I wanted and I didn't get it at the sale price.

I bought my 6+ in February that year and obviously had no problems in ordering it from T-Mobile.

I used to stand in line every year up until the iPhone 4. After that release, I realized it just wasn't worth standing in a line for 6+ hrs just to get a phone. Also trying to order a phone online during the preorder wasn't worth it either. I don't need the latest iPhone on day one. I like to get my tech the day after ordering so get everything overnighted.

Good luck to everyone waiting.

For me, the iPhone 4 launch as well as a the iPhone 6 launch made this one look like a walk in the park. I never did get an iPhone 6 after that ridiculous "pre-order" but in retrospect, so glad I waited for the 6s and now onto the 7.

My only problem was that the store wasn't online via the web or the app, so I couldn't order. The cache hasn't expired on their end.

First time I've ever had a problem like this, so for me, this is the worst experience thus far.

No matter which iPhone comes out, and how much y'all say y'all won't buy it, as soon as it comes out... Y'all run out and buy it like a pack of wild banshees EVERY TIME!

And I TOLD y'all that!!!

Preorder experiences are so varied depending on the person. I remember iPhone 6 was smooth as butter for me, while iPhone 5 was a complete nightmare. This one was somewhere in the middle.

Pretty simple this year again. 7/black matte/128gb/at&t. Actually pre ordered at 6 am from Apple with option for store pick up on Friday release between 8:30-9 am. There's about 4 apple stores within my area so that's always a plus. Miami BTW

The iPhone 4 launch was said to be sold out and you couldn't get it for several weeks. Yet I walked into my carrier a few days after launch day and got an iPhone 4 no problems.

It was a bigger mess, if you are in the upgrade program as you can only do instore pickup and the three stores in my state were only offering rose gold. I put in a reservation, even though I wanted Matte Black.

I ordered mine while taking a dump at work at 8:15 in the morning. Apart from having to wait 15 minutes to wipe, it was easier than it has been in the past for me. :)

Same here. Cache prevented me from being able to order.

Every year it's the same thing. Some get a preorder in and are content, some get a raw deal and condemn apple for all eternity. It's a phone, wait a few weeks and you'll have no problem getting it. All about perspective.

I am not condemning Apple, it was frustrating to not have a color choice.

Not when the F**F*F*FF*F* address is greyed out and you can't change it so you assume you'll be able to call in the morning to have it modified. Its a human error, someone who defined logistics.

So it's Apple's fault you have the wrong address on file?

I forgot they were available for pre order, when I went on the Apple Store site I just ordered, no fuss, jet black would be November delivery and as I'll have a case on it I went with black, I honestly can't understand how people can be so upset at this.

I had no problems. Ordered a 7+, Rose Gold, 256GB. 9/23. I'm fine with that because I'm an adult and adults don't whine about such things.
