I can fall in any of those four categories but I'm content, so I probably fall with the 81% not getting it.

So 850 for a phone is totally fine and doesn't break the bank, but 1150 does?! First world problem right there. The iphone 8 to me does everything I need it to do. Apps are optimized for the 8's screen and has pretty much the same internals as the X. Plus 256gb without breaking the bank.
I would guess AT&T and T-Mobil here in the US and the the majority of rest of the world uses GSM.Who’s GSMArena’s audience?
I had 6s+ for 2 years, and considered the 8+, X, Pixel 2 XL, and Galaxy S8+, but ended up getting a Note 8 and am completely happy with that choice. The 8+ was too little of an upgrade.. kind a boring choice. Nothing about the X interested me... the notch is just bad design, all on one FaceID is a bad choice, and it's screen size is smaller than the other options by a lot. The Pixel also didn't impress me. The Note 8 checked all the right boxes for me and I've had more fun getting to learn it than I've had with a smartphone in many years. It's fast, stable and feels very refined. And so many feature advantages vs the iPhone options.I have a 7. The Plus never has been nor will be the phone for me - too big. I would like the extra screen real estate of the X.
The one reason I'm waiting and will pass this cycle is FaceID. I felt burned with TouchID 2 came out in the 6S and I had my 6. That was the single biggest reason I upgraded to the 7 from the 6, just could not bear to live with 1st gen TouchID tech anymore.
I realize this might mean waiting beyond next year's refresh even. The 2 other big factors I've heard often spoken by those not upgrading are the notch and price. Just wondering where everyone stood, who's not upgrading.
what's #6.. No HP ?1. The notch. It is a disgrace to the values of apple and an insult to the engineers and technicians who work their. It is a product of marketing over product.
2. The glass back. See above. It is insanity to permafix a glass back to a phone, to the extent that it needs a new chassis and rebuild if it breaks.
Quite how iphone buyers are hapoy here is beyond me.
3. Price and money gouging. See point 2. No fast charger or cable supplied. The phone needs a case and apple care and a sim pin. A €1200/€1350 phone. How much is i cloud these days?
4. Itunes
5. IOS.
6. No HP
7. lightening. Seriously? (see point 3)
But mostly point 3. Money. Apple needs to stop being so greedy.

oh.. right.I was thinking HeadPhones, but it comes with the earbuds...
I chose "other - please explain" so that's what I'm doing here:
1) No home button - I don't like the idea of swiping up to go home.
2) No Touch ID - thinking about day-to-day use, I would absolutely DESPISE Face ID even if it works 100% of the time.
3) Notch - Despicable. They should've had a tiny bezel to house the earpiece/Face ID cameras. Jobs would've laughed the design out of the room.
4) Size - 5.8" may be "factually accurate", but in reality it's a smaller screen than the 8 Plus.
5) I don't give a fiddler's f**k about OLED.
6) Price ever so slightly factors in, but I'd gladly pay the higher price if they had released a phone more like what I wanted. I don't want to pay extra money for what I see as a step backwards in usability.
7) Sentimental purposes - it's highly likely that the 8/8 Plus will be the last phones that Apple releases that utilize their "legacy" design (home button, touch ID, bezels). Because I'm weird, I like the idea of having what will likely be the final, best iteration of the "original" iPhone design.
8) No option to show battery percentage. Massive deal-breaker.
And 9) Holy crap, I realized I'm sounding more and more like my father.
To each their own, though - I'm sure hordes of people will be ecstatic with their iPhone X purchase and I look forward to seeing everybody's excitement in the days/weeks to come...but all-in-all, very happy with my decision to go w/the 8 Plus.
