I forget, due process only works on accusations on Democrats. Your saying Trump apologized on behalf of the Saudis? Can you please bring that article up for me? Or did he say, if their government did this it will be very very bad?

As far as my statement, I threw out a broad stroke the way he did. But they did catch it on video, and shortly after Iranians did humiliate our soldiers on a boat. But must be more of those myths.

What? Trump has been on tape and interview repeatedly defending the Saudi Prince just like he did Putin. "He said he didn't do it, maybe he did and maybe he didn't". Over and over.

He's muddying the waters, like he does on his tariffs, the way he treats the justice department, his own cabinet that he appoints, his poor and shady business dealings in the past.... He's being apologetic. "If he did it would be bad" is so juvenile and weak a response its a joke. That's what Trump does. "Could have been Russia, could have been China". He stands in front of Putin, defends him. Then a few days later, he misspoke and says "I said I don't see why it would be.. I meant wouldn't be".

Your "broad stroke" argument is a Trump argument. In this case, "false".

CNN is totally neutral. You should watch it and you will agree.

Nobody who thinks Trump is doing a good job will agree with any mainstream news network, maybe not even Fox. They have consistently thrown anyone who opposes Trump overboard... one wrong tweet by a Hannity or Tucker Carlson and they will be swept under the rug as undercover Hillary supporters and RINOS who worked for years to run an operation to turn conservatives against their own.

They've been on the air decades. There will be some. The Simpsons probably has longer of a sheet. It's all fiction.

I hope Tim asks her about use of tear gas on children. Even the Fox guy went ballistic over that. "Poisoning women and children is reprehensible." Fox will probably fire him, make him apologize, or make him take a brief vacation.

And for those that think the economy is doing well right now, I hope you gain reasoning skills in the future. Step 1: read journals published by multiple world sources (note: Fox News is not a source, it's a click bait machine).

Oh well, nothing matters with this narcissist and his followers. If Trump gets elected again I'm gone. That would truly indicate this country is ignorant, and education is dead.

Yes, the tariffs are hurting electronics here. We are getting it bad, 25 percent on this, that and the other. How is this helping? Hope I'm not off topic. None of my steel manufacturers are seeing any benefit either. I don't know anymore. I just pray for things to be right.

I don’t have a problem with Ivanka. She should do more of this. Her father on the other hand is a piece of garbage. I can’t wait for the moment when his house of cards comes crashing down.

History will not be kind to him nor the 2010s GOP. That party needs to clean house after he’s gone. They need to move back towards the center and stop the climate change denial, racist dogwhistling and actually try to gain followers without relying on fear mongering and propaganda.

Again, due process. Although everyone knows what Saudi Arabia is, we still paint them as an ally for years. Every politician does the political speak, all of them. Same with Putin. Do we break down all business dealings, any and all talks and walk away from everything? Back to the pallets of cash quickly followed by Iranians pointing guns at our soldiers heads, should we had launched missiles to make a point? Reality is there’s a lot going on in the background that we will never know about. All we have here is a couple of Apple enthusiasts chatting about it, and I appreciate that the discussion is respectful.

Hate just to hate, you forgot to add, “it’s not a dog whistle anymore, it’s a bullhorn.” That’s the propaganda and fear mongering. Calling everything racist doesn’t make it so, it just lightens the meaning where racism really does exist. Keep waiting for the house of cards to fall, you’ve got 6 years for it to happen.

The party cleaned a lot of the house in the primaries leading to these midterm elections.

You (and the Heritage Foundation) need to look up the definition of the word “apology” because you don’t appear to understand what it means.

Did I miss something? I think most people loosely define apology as “I got caught and now I’m sorry.”

The true definitions are:

Apology: a regretful acknowledgment of an offense or failure.

an admission of error or discourtesy accompanied by an expression of regret

something that is said or written to defend something that other people criticize

So if I say

“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy. We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect. But if you look at the track record, as you say, America was not born as a colonial power, and that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that.”

Or

“I know that promises of partnership have gone unfulfilled in the past, and that trust has to be earned over time. While the United States has done much to promote peace and prosperity in the hemisphere, we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms. But I pledge to you that we seek an equal partnership.“

And more of the same to all countries that he felt we wronged. I believe these words fall into the definition of apology. Re-read the article using the actual definitions of apology and the reality is it was an apology tour.

economy is doing pretty good for a administration that is "destroying" the country.......
Trump doubled the deficit. Of course things look peachy if you do stuff without due consideration. You get money, and you get money! Temporarily. “Successful economy” is not going to be part of his legacy and it’s going to take years to tidy up his mess.

What’s weird about these US political discussions is people going on about how left cnn/et al are. Your entire political landscape is miles to the right of most of the western world. AOC and Bernie are not radical leftists, you’ve just been dragged so far to the right that your current mess seems reasonable. (To a minority of you!)

There is a difference between humility and apologizing. Acknowledging that the US is not perfect* is not an apology. And nothing Obama said in those speeches was incorrect.

*Indeed, electing an amoral TV game show host as president pretty much proves the point.

So predictable

This thread is flooded with armchair political experts wholly consumed by trump derangement

They hate him soo much but yet can’t stop thinking or talking about him that he has to be their avatar :D

Imagine having that much influence over peoples’ thought processes that frequently.

It’s truly spectacular! I have never seen anything like it, much less it being as sustained as it is, in my entire life

Well, the man is president, yet conservatives seem to go on forever about Hillary as if she actually won the office.

Perhaps, and I could be wrong here, many don't see any value Ivanka brings to anything in the White House besides a heaping spoonful of absolutely nothing?

I always feel obligated to point out, whenever I encounter @thadoggfather complaining about people being obsessed with Trump, that he has repeatedly argued in obsessive detail that Michelle Obama has male genitalia.

its amazing you're a contributor on macrumors!

Every time you bring it up, which you have found it your duty to do so, in a poor attempt to make me look foolish, but only to people with Trump avatars and people who have long since made up their minds despite any and all evidence, I will *again* re-refer you to the same post.. and I will also, *once again*, not back down either because your mob mentality attempts are futile ;)

You havent provided counter evidence to any of it, ever, but yet you seem obsessed with the subject-- perhaps to an unhealthy extent if I'm just being completely honest.

Get some fresh air my dude. And stop thinking That by trying to throw shade, over something I stand behind, you will silence me.

Its ridiculously unbecoming.

It’s also not a knock to transgender people or anything of the sort. If it were I would be banned here. It’s just presenting facts and evidence and going where they take me, however uncomfortable and contrary it may feel. Emotions don’t factor into it.

Do you have any proof Ivanka doesn't have a willy as well?

That’s ‘hilarious’ but the onus is on you to present evidence. If you have none, which you don’t, this doesn’t hold up.

It also shows with your hatred towards everyone with the last name trump and everyone who supports him, you can’t even take a brief moment to appreciate she is focusing on education sector, even when with the ‘apple messiah’ himself none other than Mr Tim Cook
