I owned a mid-2011 27" 3.4 GHz iMac fully maxed on everything. As life got busy, I used a stationary machine less and less to the point that I decided to back everything up and sell it while I could still get a decent price for it. As life got even busier, I found myself getting by with iDevices, a Chromebook, and a VM of Windows on my server. I've been ready to get a MacBook Pro/Whatever for a few years now, but nothing has seemed revolutionary enough (i.e., the next big step forward) to convince me to buy. I'm getting too comfortable with my setup and with using Windows at work, but I'd still like a Mac for my everyday life at home and on the go. I really hope Apple releasing something exciting and worthwhile this time around or I'll probably just move on. I hope they announce new Macs running the latest from Intel before any other PC, like they used to do consistently for new CPUs. I know no one cares about my personal anecdote, but I thought I'd share anyway, since that's what most of these rumor threads are anyway.
