Am I the only one who read "really great stuff" in Tim's accent?
Well then...enlighten us genius "for real"
When did they exactly start working on the iWatch? You seem to know something the rest of us dont!
They could do with an electronic giant to diversify their product range into existing distribution channels.
Guys you are missing the point. They are going to buy Philips.
Corporate talk aside, why would he give hints or secrets about upcoming products he is so passionate about making? If I were in his position, I know I wouldn't want to divulge a single bit of information regarding upcoming products. In fact, I bet they are deeply maddened when product details or parts are leaked.Mmm that tasty corporate talk is so good. Please shovel us down more vague statements and positively charged obscurities. Please Tim! It's not like we need results, just tasty words with upbeat relish on the side.
I still think they need a spin-off company, not to get bigger. They are already "too big" to just barely manage yearly OS releases.
Medical devices are the antithesis of Apple. Long product cycles. Long support cycles. Tons of regulation. Slow moving feature sets. Those are "add-ons" for Apples products and will just slow them down. They need a spin-off with distance, even more than something like FileMaker has.

At least 1-2 years ago.
All those medical hires might not be for medical devices.
I have a theory on that iWatch thing.
Fingers and nerves. If one could make a watch that monitors and controls nerve pulses one could simply use their fingers as a controller for television. The finger movement sends signals to the watch and it in turn sends a command to the tv device.
Just move your finger to the right and the menu swipes to the right using the electronic pulses of the nervous system. Same with swiping left or selecting. A tap of two fingers selects an item.
The hand and fingers are the most natural input devices ever made.
Keep in mind Apple has also hired robotics experts.
Source is this article. Lol. Tim has said there will be new product categories in 2014, and there is a constant stream of iWatch rumors. I like to use common sense and intelligent reasoning to assume that one of those will in fact be the iWatch (or whatever it will be called).Source please? You know, non speculative/rumor based source?
No clue what you are talking about. That is to say, you have no clue.
Every year the same story.

No that's means a 4 year old Apple product is still more desirable than the crisp out there!Pretty much sums it up as a safe bet. If Apple has to pull devices up from the dead they pretty much lost their innovative soul.
Cook has said on prior occasions that new product categories are coming for Apple in 2014 and, with this interview, he is likely looking to encourage spooked investors that Apple is still focused on growth.
If we can't do that, we're not going to force ourselves to hit a price point that makes us produce a product that we're not proud of because we lose who we are in that.

This seems to be a typical working day for Jony since Forstall left.
