I can see Drumpf president. Hillary and Sanders seem just too weak, no enthusiasm. 2012 Obama and Romney were so much worthy competitors.

Funny how the left who advocate political correctness are so keen to dump it for their purposes

Let's all insult the Trump family's former name.
I bet you have a blast insulting Chinese and Asians for their names hey !!!

I don't think popularity contests usher in speedy enough change. Just my opinion. When a president or a candidate has to spend most of his time pandering to people who are too stupid to inform themselves on ANY of the issues, yeah...a lot of it is a waste of time. I have a lot of stupid opinions that I wouldn't expect anyone to agree with

I also think people need to stop having kids. Overpopulation is a thing and pretty soon we are going to be using up our resources and need the equivalent of two earths to sustain us at this pace.

I also think education in some form should be mandatory. I also think the entire structure of society is completely wrong and we are in a Wild West right now.

So yeah. Being told I'm wrong on something wouldn't exactly be a new thing
Nah, you're about right. A little optimistic, perhaps.

Yeah, a classy guy like Trump would never make fun of someone's last name. Trump should be proud of his heritage.

Neither slaves would be freed nor would homosexuals have the right to marry if the rights of the minority were left to a popular vote. Don't try to hide behind unfounded claims.

I think the idea of slavery being acceptable would be a "minority" view at this point in time. By your rationale we should reinstitute slavery because the minority would want it. Not doing so would be the "tyranny of the majority".

So excellent. Deliver as good, or better, in the face of what's coming your way.

Here's a guy, Trump, that will not give the mike up to a BLM. Here's a guy, Trump, who will look Putin in the eye and bargain hard and who won't go on an apology tour doing inappropriate deep bows to those who are supposed to be your equals.

I was in a restuarant over the weekend. In the background there was a TV on CNN. The volume was off, there were subtitles but I didn't read the. The thought popped into my head "here is the next Hilter rising to power". This isn't really a conscious though I've ever justified in my head.

I'm a fiscal conservative, I don't think Trump will be the end of the world- thankfully powers are divided, but I can't see much good coming from his presidency. I see more division than unity. Much of the elected GOP doesn't like him and the obviously Democrats don't like him.

That fact that all these career political grifters don't like him should tell you something.

Is reading comprehension a problem for you? Am I not being clear? Democracy denied slaves their freedom and homosexuals their right to marry in the name of the majority.

Those are the breaks and it's been that way since the founding of America. You win some, you lose some. Majority ruled in America for Obama, and everyone had to go along with it. That clearly sucked for a good portion of the population.

So why we still talking about it if we solved that issue 239 years ago?
The compromise allowing the ownership of human beings tells us it wasn't solved, then. The size and scope of today's federal government tells us it still hasn't been solved.

As great (and unique) a statement as The Constitution was/is for individual rights, it wasn't politically impenetrable to those who would deny them.

Well that's right in line with them railing on Trump for his proposed "curtailment of the 1st amendment" and yet they have been cheering self-censorship, "safe spaces", "micro aggressions", "trigger words", and University policies that require students to sign pledges against "hate speech" for using words that the majority of Americans of any color/creed don't even consider offensive..

Typical double standard BS. They just don't like their own medicine.

I actually think the core message from Sanders and Trump is similar.

Sanders wants to make everyone better off by taking money from the middle classes and giving it to special interest groups.

Trump wants to make everyone better off by reclaiming money from disadvantageous foreign trade agreements and generating wealth internally

Same message, different solution, you choose ...

As a member of the middle class the messages are completely different. One guy (Bernnie) wants to literally rob me.

I can see Drumpf president. Hillary and Sanders seem just too weak, no enthusiasm. 2012 Obama and Romney were so much worthy competitors.

Obama seemed like the real deal 8 years ago. Everyone in Europe was wearing T-shirts with his picture on it after that election was won.

What the world and Americans even, have realized is that there was very little difference between George W and Obama actually as far as international politics is concerned. Regime changes and absolutely incorrect assessment of the entire world continued.

These days I feel bad for hating so hard on George W Bush. The dude isn't that smart, he certainly wasn't "evil" - he was just a puppet of his Neocon controllers. He is basically a good guy, I see that now.

As for Obama, he had every chance to do something good, and instead we have him pretending he has a clue about the middle east - mainly out of embarrassment of the USA position on every aspect of this mess. It's hard to admit you made big big mistakes that have probably costed thousands and thousands of lives for nothing more that ignorance and misunderstanding. Instead Obama and the media seems to try and cover up what is really going on by being intentionally oblivious to the facts.

What will America get with anyone other than Trump? More of the same!

Trump might offend some people, but he will have a chance to set things right, and he will do it quickly. He is going to be a strong leader and America needs this. Everyone just has to do the impossible, which is to look at your own country and realize just how wrong America has been about just about EVERYTHING. That will be very hard to swallow, and I am not sure people will see it until 20 or 30 years from today in hind sight how wrong America was.

Trump can fix it and therein lies the new hope this time around. I have converted from being a "Democrat supporter" to a Republican because of Obama. I can't say it enough - Obama was the ideal President and he totally blew it, no way Americans should be giving any more chances to that.

Neither slaves would be freed nor would homosexuals have the right to marry if the rights of the minority were left to a popular vote.

The alternative in one case was a war that killed millions, and was eventually decided by the army with the best supply chain. Only the winners think war is a good solution. If the Union (or WW2 Allies) had lost, would you still be advocating winning wars to be preferable to popular vote democracy?

I don't think America has done everything wrong at all. The Iraq war is often held up as the example of this, but in fact the war was won very fast and effectively by the US military with little casualties, except amongst Saddam's army.
It was the administration which was really cocked up. The Europeans had much to do with this, having excellent experience from their colonies they consistently gave the US and the emerging Iraqi government the wrong advice and the wrong incentives.
The Iraqi army and police force should never have been dismissed and the administration lasted far too long.
Despite this the dispute between the Sunnis and Shias in Iraq caused the power vacuum that was exploited by the Saudi backed Islamic state, originally created to fight the Shia but was given too much money too fast.
But the real growth was in Syria. Syria was a country that obama completely backed away from intervening with disastrous consequences.
If you remember the free Syrian army, made up of people in popular revolt against a brutal dictator, with many defectors from the Syrian army, was making fast progress taking over Syria and defeating Asad's forces. However they didn't have any air support and begged the US to help. When Obama refused they asked for air strikes against Asad's forces only. When Obama refused again they asked simply for a no fly zone only. Obama refused again.
Meanwhile this gave time for the Russians to prop up Asaf and for the Saudis to pours millions into the al Nursa front and for Islamic state to use their oil wealth to pour over the border.
In a matter of months the winning position of the free Syria army was changed into a losing position, being hit by al Nursa, Islamic state, Asad and his Iranian allies, aka hizbollah. Now Syria is a mess with Asad asserting some control using Russian air power but far from winning.
Meanwhile half of Syria has fled the country. That's right half. Which is the biggest refugee crisis known by Europe and ironically caused by the only country in the ME that the US did not intervene in.
Incredible

Boisterously loud, obnoxious people that won’t sit down and be quiet when asked deserve the boot, to go outside where protest is allowed. See ya.

Point is, what Sanders did was capitulate. What Trump did was leadership.

Lol. Screaming like a loud blowhard and throwing out anyone who doesn't agree with your ideas is "leadership"? That's funny.

It's hilarious to see Trump and his supporters do the exact same thing they whine about the "entitled college kids who want safe spaces" do.

Apparently Trump needs his rallies to be safe spaces for him. But that goes right in line with his historical reputation of being a crybaby anytime anyone has ever criticized him.

It's true he had money but he made plenty more and employs thousands - a good contribution to society

Tell that to all the people who lost money in his schemes and bankruptcies. Trump trying to rule the world and feed his ego has cost a lot of people money, people who don't have as much as he has (or says he has, he won't show his taxes so we don't know what he actually has).

Which will be interesting if he gets to be president and finds out it is NOTHING like being the supreme leader of a company. All Trump's life he has been surrounded by "YES" people and people sucking up to him to get money from him. He has no idea how to deal with people telling him "NO". He won't be able to handle it and the election process shows that time and again but his supporters aren't sophisticated enough to recognize it.

That photo shows how easy it is to create misleading memes. I saw video of the Hillary event. That woman being escorted out was yelling at Hillary and Hillary was trying to answer her questions but the woman wouldn't let her and just wanted to yell. The protester didn't want to have a discussion, she just wanted to interrupt so she had to go. And no one was violent, they just guided her out. If she had actually been there to discuss the issues and let Hillary answer and say what she would do, she would have been able to stay. Hillary has tried to give advice to BLM people to help them, and they need it. You can't just yell, interrupt and get change. You have to demand specific changes so people know what the hell you want to happen and it has to be a conversation not a yelling match. The Bernie thing wasn't his event, he was just invited to speak so it wasn't HIS microphone to give up. He just let it go, which was his choice. Doesn't make him a rockstar.

Because it was you who brought up 'the will of the people', which is a direct relation to Majority Rule, which is referred to as the Tyranny of the Majority. You brought it up; we put it to bed.
