Because it was you who brought up 'the will of the people', which is a direct relation to Majority Rule, which is referred to as the Tyranny of the Majority. You brought it up; we put it to bed.

Whatever you say.

The will of the people should be honored, except if Trump is elected, right?

Oh, I thought you meant Bush bowing to Saudi King, and kissing him on the mouthHere is one such bow out of several.
"Obama branded 'Groveller-in-Chief' after deep bow to Emperor son of Japanese ruler who authorised Pearl Harbour attack"

Actually, it was what you said:
We just proved you wrong.
I guess it is whatever I say.

Apparently none of our leaders know how to demonstrate leadership abroad. If I were president I'd high 5 the Emperor and slap the Saudi King on his back side (baseball dugout style).Oh, I thought you meant Bush bowing to Saudi King, and kissing him on the mouth
What comedy club will you be performing at? This is great material.I don't think America has done everything wrong at all. The Iraq war is often held up as the example of this, but in fact the war was won very fast and effectively by the US military with little casualties, except amongst Saddam's army.
Tyranny of the majority is a wry phrase being said literally and as thought it is a basic truism. Anyone who is getting the short stick, such as an elected Obama, will make the claim that the majority is tyrannical. Basically a sore loser's position when a vote does not go your way.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot are you talking about?
Playing by the rules, Obama won both of his elections by securing enough votes through the Electoral College to become POTUS. There is nothing 'tyrannical' or 'will of the people' about that. So this idea of a 'short end of the stick' is about as whimsical as the US putting spy satellites over Canada.

Creative. But you're as obstinate Don Quixote on this subject.

Conquered?I love it when facts annoy people
US forces conquered one of the biggest countries in the Middle East in a month or so. It was a master of tactics and supply.
I remember when a BBC journalist, looking out from his hotel room in Bagdad, said "I can't believe it, that's an American tank I see across the river. Thanks goodness they have come so quickly"
I think that was the first and last time a BBC person said anything nice about the Americans since WWII
So quickly facts are ignored and ideology sets in
Sanders didn't capitulate. He listened. He had meetings with them. And that's why they don't bother him anymore.Boisterously loud, obnoxious people that won’t sit down and be quiet when asked deserve the boot, to go outside where protest is allowed. See ya.
Point is, what Sanders did was capitulate. What Trump did was leadership.
I completely agree
Tyranny of the majority is called democracy
Anyone doesn't like it ? move to a country where minorities rule, like the Alawites in Syria or the Shias in Iraq
Tell me how it turned out ...
No-one is advocating for minority rule. That was Apartheid in S. Africa.
Glad that you agree that Tyranny of the Majority is called Democracy. The Greeks, those living during the Enlightenment, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison all agree with you.
That is why the United States of America is a Constitutional Republic, and not a democracy.

If you had to vote -right now- and your choice is A: Donald Trump or B: Sarah Palin, who would you pick? (No abstentions allowed.) Go.
"Trump Steaks"The people who think Trump is a great businessman who has created jobs need to keep in mind that most of his "businesses" are actually other people's businesses who just put Trump's name on a fraction of the stuff they make. Trump is basically like the store brand version of things. Target doesn't make drugs and groceries, they just sell Target brand drugs and groceries. The Trump toiletries in my Doral Resort hotel room were run-of-the-mill toiletries made in Canada. They didn't smell awesome like Aveda products do or clean better than any other shampoo. They are nothing special in any way other than the label. The Trump water they left in my room (btw- they also had Fiji water bottles in my room but I would have had to pay extra for those. The Trump-branded water was free) was just generic plain water with a paper Trump label slapped on it. It wasn't even in a nice bottle like VOSS water. Trump's only real skill is being able to read people and tell them what they want to hear. He's a salesman and his product is himself. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has ever worked with someone who constantly tells people how great he is and keeps advancing in his job but anyone who has actually seen his work knows he's not as good as he says he is. Confidence is everything in business and Trump has the monopoly on it.
Our second trip to Iraq very quickly illustrated the strengths and weaknesses of our army. As an invasion force, we're second to none. We can project our power to any point of the globe in a matter of hours. We have the strength, the technology, and the tactics to make our will known across the world if need be.
But as an occupying force? That's a different story entirely. Our military is built around a Cold War mindset, which requires a vast amounts of forward moving flexible strength focused across wide fronts against an enemy that's using roughly the same hardware and tactics we are. As long as its in motion, it's a juggernaut. But once in hunkers down, it becomes one giant target for any gaggle of desert hillbillies with decades old AK-47s and single fire RPGs.
It's a machine designed to break, not weather. It isn't equipped to handle years long guerrilla warfare campaigns and insurgencies. This is the lesson we should've learned from Iraq.

Palin. She's the potential lesser of those two evils.
The biggest of which was fighting a war for nothing.I agree
As I said above, her invasion and military campaign was a great success. The administration made a great many mistakes

The problem other posters have with your assertions, is that the subsequent occupation of Iraq didn't mark an end to the war.
Your assertion is false:
In many ways, the war has still not ended an continues to this very day.
Lol. Screaming like a loud blowhard and throwing out anyone who doesn't agree with your ideas is "leadership"? That's funny.
It's hilarious to see Trump and his supporters do the exact same thing they whine about the "entitled college kids who want safe spaces" do.
Apparently Trump needs his rallies to be safe spaces for him. But that goes right in line with his historical reputation of being a crybaby anytime anyone has ever criticized him.
