Never in the history of putative democray/representative republicanism has a one-party system ever improved the function of government or the living conditions of a state's people. One-party rule is the hallmark of dictatorship.

And what we have now....in effect....IS a one party system. We are already there my friend and that is why America and the middle class is nearly exterminated by the elites. Many people are too brainwashed/hypnotized to see it.

Trump is the only one who will say what a lot of ordinary people say (maybe after a few beers), instead of parroting only phrases crafted by political speech writers after vetting by focus groups. Thus giving voters a choice between a more honest flake/jerk, and a bunch of smart liars owned by a mob of special interest groups.

The old insider cabal is pulling out their hair in fear of losing their gravy train. The outsider populace will likely get equally scr*wed either way, but seem to be voting for a more entertaining reality show ("Presidential Apprentice") to do it to them.

Trump is not the anti-politician we've been waiting for.

If he's saying stuff that the majority of us are thinking, then we are one sick society.

Trump is a way out of the establishment shell game in the same sense that blowing your brains out is a way to get rid of your headache.

Nope.. Electing Trump IS blowing the brains out of the headache that Washington DC has become!!!!

The only thing Trump is doing is killing the republican party right now. Democrats should be smiling.

So you support a ban of 11 million Muslims from the USA?

11% of Moslems polled by CAIR do. Just some food for thought:

"The key task now, to once again paraphrase Karl Marx, is less to understand Trump than to stop him," Kristol wrote. "In general, there's a little too much hand-wringing, brow-furrowing, and fatalism out there and not quite enough resolving to save the party from nominating or the country electing someone who simply shouldn't be president."

Paraphrasing Karl Marx? And "once again" at that? That should tell you all you need to know.

No. Can we stop this idiotic rhetoric? Trump doesn't say what a lot of us are thinking.

Many of us conservatives aren't wanting to eliminate all Muslims from the US. Many of us don't retweet the endorsements of people fighting perceived white genocide. Many of us don't think John McCain is a loser for being a POW. Many of us don't want somebody that is racist to lead the free world. Many of us don't want somebody who is legitimately sexist to lead. Many of us don't want somebody who can't say a damn thing of substance in his blanket statements to dictate policy.

And most importantly, I don't want an inherently bad person to represent the USA.

11% support Trump, not endorse a ban.

Trump is a racist, discriminant, hateful person, who is dangerous to the whole world. He is a self-centric, attention hording celebrity and he is winning the popularity contest. I am personally shocked at the amount of support that he is getting. It is sad to me that there are so many hateful (or misinformed/easily manipulated) people who think like him, and I am scared for the future of the world if this lunatic is given substantial political power.

Future of the world? Give me a break. Let me guess, "OMG he will have his FINGER ON THE BUTTON". I bet you listen to the media how you should be scared of Russia as well. The impending EU collapse is a bigger threat to the world than Trump. Can't be worse than a president who made up evidence to start yet another war that is continuing to this day.

That's a distinction without a difference and you know it. He's made the moratorium on Moslem entry into the U.S. a cornerstone of his foreign policy; God knows you can't hear a news report about him without it being reiterated in exasperation. That poll was taken March 1st, so it's not a question of ignorance on the part of those polled.

*Muslim.

Don't use the alternative spelling. It's needlessly hateful.

Just imagine for a moment Donald Drumpf having the power to unlock every iPhone users' phones after becoming Commander in Chief and Chief Executive of the FBI... ::shutter::

Also, wrong. Bush's first term was given by the SCOTUS.
It is more like his brother helped him in that State. LOL

My popcorn is ready...

... much of the conference was haunted by "the specter of Donald Trump," with many attendees unhappy about his emergence and discussing how he gained his support. ...

Not to worry.
The only damage Trump can do is to reduce the Republican party to his level of squalor.
And maybe a little collateral damage to America's image around the world (such as it is.)

Just imagine how desperate, crazy, and crushed the Republican party will be after Hillary is elected.
They're already near rock bottom. Their former golden boy, Jeb Bush, blew $100 million in funding.
For nothing.

If Trump wants to, he could go independent and take half the Republican vote with him.
That could easily destroy the Republican party forever. And he'd still lose anyway.

I don't care in the least as I'm not being hateful in using it. It was a common variant in the past and is still used in a non-derogatory manner today. Don't try to deflect with pointless minutiae, either offer a refutation of my point or move on to other posts.
For your information, then, a Moslem is translated as being "hateful and unjust".

I'd suggest against using that version. This is not being PC. This is about generally decency.

A lot. Yes. But count the votes. In many counties, you seem to be a minority even in your own party. So a lot of people think (and say. and vote.) different. So it's not just rhetoric. It's realism. Even if Trump loses.
Luckily, the primaries aren't a democratic election, and better minds can and should torpedo him.

Very simple. Cook and Apple can't afford a trade war with China. Trump is a huge threat for AAPL.

Considering a goodly portion of our manufacturing base now lies in China, I don't think the country, let alone Apple, could survive a trade war with China.

The one silver lining to this is that, well, neither could China. Level heads prevail when everyone shares equal risk.
