Sounds about as secretive as Hillary's email.
They probably recorded the meeting on an iPhone
to really make it secret.

When corporate and political crooks meet behind closed doors, expect the worst.

Are they really amazed that Trump has gained so much traction...? It's like Marie Antoinette asking why the mobs are storming the Versailles...

These people, the global elite, have decimated American society with policies that favor the accumulation of so much wealth to the top 1% OF the top 1%. The American people are, mostly, pretty stupid and ignorant and are prone to outbursts of misguided populism regardless of how mentally uncultivated it might be. The average American is doing what they have done throughout history: blame the immigrants and corrupt politicians for all of our problems. The truth is: the real culprits are the Fortune 500 executive types who have collectively dismantled the American middle class.

The average American seems to be too ignorant to identify the real causes of their problems, so instead of throwing their support behind someone who has actually identified the problem (Sanders), they seem ready to vote instead for a populist pseudo-fascist like Trump and a human Focus Group (Hillary), who has taken so much money from Wall Street that she should be forced to wear NASCAR style branding at all times. If countries had stocks that could be bought and sold on the stock exchange, I would have a big short position on USA for sure.

Wow. These Republicans are not remotely self aware if they need serious discussions to figure out why Donald Trump is so popular. The Republican Party has been speaking in code to all the crackpots and racists on the right for decades. And now they act horrified when a candidate finally emerges who doesn't bother trying to conceal the racism and xenophobia? You reap what you sow. RIP GOP.

Amazing! People of with various policy ideas and political thoughts discussed such matters at an off the record think tank event. Shocking.

There is nothing inherently scandalous or sinister about closed to the press events. AEI is a think tank not a lobbyist group or PAC. I'd be more concerned about political candidates that demand "loyalty oaths" in public than what Was discussed at a private party.

For your information, then, a Moslem is translated as being "hateful and unjust".

I'd suggest against using that version. This is not being PC. This is about generally decency.

It means that when paired with a particular pronunciation. I have always used that spelling, both in my personal writing and in university, and I shan't change now. I have not cast aspersions on anyone nor insulted their religion or personal sanctity. You may keep your admonitions to yourself.

Absolutely possible; but "better minds" won't necessarily be any better for the country. Neither Stalin nor Nixon were stupid.
But I know where others stand. If Trump were elected, I legitimately don't know his policies on specific issues. He hasn't said anything of substance.

And if that idiot gets elected, RIP Constitution.

Tim Cook attended American Enterprise Institute's annual World Forum this past weekend in Georgia alongside Google CEO Larry Page, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and other tech leaders, according to a new report from The Huffington Post. Top Republican officials, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConell, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton also attended, with the main topic of conversation revolving around Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump.

Bill Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard and political commentator, wrote in an emailed report that much of the conference was haunted by "the specter of Donald Trump," with many attendees unhappy about his emergence and discussing how he gained his support.
Some sources familiar with the meetings told The Huffington Post that the meeting centered more around how and why Trump has attracted support rather than how to stop him. The meeting included a presentation by Republican political consultant Karl Rove about focus group findings on Trump.

While Trump took up much of the conversation, the discussion eventually turned to encryption. Cook and Cotton "fiercely debated" cell phone encryption, and one source tells The Huffington Post that "Cotton was pretty harsh on Cook." Cotton's aggressiveness was reportedly hostile enough to make other attendees uncomfortable.

Since Apple and the FBI began their duel over encryption, Trump has criticized the company for its decision to oppose a court order to unlock the San Bernardino shooter's iPhone. The Presidential candidate has said that Apple should unlock the phone and called for a boycott on Apple products until the company complies, despite using an iPhone to tweet.

Its been a while...and 2015 was a year of disarray..
Tim.. Its not up to u to Manipulate Thrumps election! You have vote .. So do rest of american people.
Your job is to focus on Apple... Not partisan rivalry .

Hitler was democratically elected by a landslide.

Sometimes the people have no idea what's good for them.

you should check your history book again. Hitler forced his way into power behind closed door, not openly elected.

then you can complain "...people have no idea what's good for them"

Have you read anything in the last 6 months? Apple is tied in multiple lawsuits with major political implications. It is critical they remain politically active.

I'm glad we have these front page PRSI stories to help people like you remove your head from the sand.

Hitler did win elections, though. But the wider point Tevion is trying to make is perfectly valid: America is going to get the government it voted for, and that's exactly the government it deserves. America simply isn't smart enough for a candidate like Sanders, in my opinion.

Trump likely has less incentive to work outside the Constitution than the current leaders of both parties. He's already rich and (perhaps far more importantly) already has good TV show ratings.
That's like saying you won't win the lottery because a cheetah can run 60 mph.

They're completely unrelated.
