Just this morning I found that it's not just Trump, but his wife as well. First she lied that he was "polite and a gentleman". Not that I think it's important for a president to be a gentleman, but that's the kind of lie where you must have hypnotised yourself so you can spell it out with a straight face.

But then she dropped him right in. Apparently Trump is easily led. If some TV personality tells him to harass women, then he does it. He can be "egged on", that's what his wife says. Imagine there is Trump and a red button. And someone says "I dare you, Trump. I bet you are a coward and won't press that red button. I dare you. " And poof - we are all gone because he doesn't have the mental stability but does whatever he is told.

No, he'd better move into a political career, which seems to be his only worry, and free Apple from the strong political/ideological bias present since he is the CEO. In the past Apple was technology, now it is a lobby thanks to Cook.

However, on second thought I don't know what would be worse: to continue losing Apple or to have Cook as president. Both consequences are very bad.

In Germany the sentence "Eigentum verplflichtet" is part of the constitution. Roughly translated it means "posession creates responsbility". It basically means that everyone with power in terms of money or status needs to contribute to the progress of the community as a whole.

I think this is true for Apple also. Not only do they have an obligation towards their employees, but also their customers and in a wider sence the society that benefits from their products. Apple is basically everywhere and in that sense they can and should play a wider role in society than just making gadgets.

Someone mentioned that it could have led to the Hillaryphone... And speculated on its features. Likely, they'd have been high end and specialized.

For one thing, it would wake you at 3 a.m., either to handle an international crisis or to send out a flurry of intolerant Tweets!

It could automatically delete half your emails with a tap of a single button (as Jobs would say, "It's that simple!")-- or, it could rack up a billion dollars in Apple Pay charges and automatically declare bankruptcy.

It would have great risotto recipes as well as a special Game Center mode that, after any loss, would use Siri to say, "This game is rigged!"

It would use AI to instantly generate speeches praising Wall Street as well as come with the new hit gaming app, "Smash the TelePrompTer!"

Finally, it would have brand new sets of emoji -- one set featuring famous people in pants suits and the other featuring them with orange bouffant hair-dos (and don'ts!).

Of course. But being responsible is just the opposite to move your company into a strong ideological lobby whose ideas are not better than the rest. Anyway, if losing Apple saves us from such a bad president, maybe it's better to continue losing Apple.

Seriously though. My kids have iPads and their news app is Disneyland a Video Games. But whenever they swipe to that news widget then it's all about white-hate, killings and Washington Post garbage.
