Don't forget - if it says out of stock on a certain phone - that's not true.. It just means they're getting killed still..
The only people that have issues are those who are behind on their bill. Those who have bad credit. Or those who have other personal issues.Due to Next being the only option via Apple, a lot of us are going to be forced to preorder through AT&T for the first time ever. Can anyone who has experience preordering through AT&T post some tips for first timers? I can complete an Apple preorder within seconds, but I'm blind when it comes to preordering via AT&T.
Does their site go down before launch, like Apple's? Is there a specific URL we should be hammering or does it appear on the main page? Is it better to log in before preorders begin or start at the home page?
Any and all tips would be much appreciated. I haven't failed on getting an iPhone on launch day since the original, and it would be a shame to kill a tradition due to having to preorder through AT&T. I may go ahead and upgrade my second line via Apple as a backup.

Three years in a row my pre order from AT&T took just two minutes. The phone was delivered before 10 AM on launch day.
My commute takes me right by the Apple Store where they were still standing in line. Mine was activated and sitting on my center console as I drove by![]()
Still showing a countdown for me.Dang AT&T started early - finished!!
As long as you've "prepaid" to your upgrade date with trade in you'll be fine. Process the order just like normal, and you'll receive your return instructions in the box sent to you.
Or they just cancel your preorder all together like last year. #SystemerrorSo AT&T's site does show if a model is out of stock? I was under the impression that they continued to take preorders and notified customers after the fact that their phone wouldn't be delivered on launch day.

Heres a transcript of my chat with the att rep.
Same here! Fingers crossed shipping goes smoothly but it was so easy...And even with going with ATT Next, I was able to keep my old grandfathered unlimited plan! After going through Apple every other preorder, went through AT&T the first time just now. Easiest ever!
ahhh!!! ATT went live early!!! like 15 minutes early!! I already submitted my order!!!![]()
