I just got mine (“silver Titanium) It’s much prettier irl than the pictures on Apple’s website. Very classy - much different than the silver aluminum too.

What really surprised me is that the color does have a golden hue when inside, it does not in daylight.

I’ll post pictures when I get home, comparing with the silver SS.

Can anyone comment on whether the SB Titanium will match the SB Milanese loop band?
Or for that matter, whether the regular Titanium will match the regular Milanese loop?
I wish there were more band choices for the Edition watches... I don't feel like there's a great choice for either titanium model.

So here's some pics. As I said above, the color really depends on the light. It was warm inside the store, and more silver outside or even in my home.

At first (in store) I thought that maybe it would go well with the Gold Milanese (see pics), but now that I'm back home, nope. It goes with the silver Milanese. You can clearly see the difference between brushed and polished at the connector level, but you really have to look.

So if it's not under bright white lighting, it looks more like brushed SS than some kind of golden brushed thing, and also not at all like the Silver Aluminum, which is more grey. The color may also vary a bit depending on what you're wearing it with, but I haven't tried that yet.

Very very happy with it. I find that it looks even classier than the SS. I didn't notice the difference in weight.

So they only carry the edition watches at Flagship stores.. wtf Apple.

Why would I need to travel 45 minutes just to buy this watch? We have one in Scottsdale but I hate going to that store as nice as it is. I have a store in Gilbert 5 mins from home

Thank you. The finish on that black titanium looks nice and brushed, the color looks a little lighter but sometimes photos show differently then real life. How are you liking it so far? Was it what you were hoping for and expected?
Not sure, I also got the Stainless steel, so going to wear em both for a few days and decide. At first glance I'm liking it.

Just got delivered. Couple quick pics with my SBSS S4 for anyone curious. Lighting was back porch mixed sunlight through trees.

It looks nice. Although I can see the differentiation between crystal and case, it blends well.

Setting it up now.

Thanks Dawg it looks nice. The silver is calling but I do like the black. I’m going to sit for a while. I have to come out of pocket because my carrier is only carrying the Stainless and aluminum. Looks good

I’ll wait to see it in the flesh, but that golden tone is no bueno for me. Hopefully it isn’t something that I won’t be able to unsee lol. That said, I’m glad I went with my gut and ordered a SBSS, as well.

Look at my pictures. It's not really golden. It was in the store, but it's not in daylight or under my home's lighting.

All personal preference of course, but I love a brushed metal look in general. My silver titanium preorder is available for local pickup already but I’m out of town so enjoying all your pictures until then.

I’m guessing it is quantity, but with only a $100 difference (plus the extra band and longer warranty) perhaps the Titanium Edition should be more widely available.

I don’t like either but I’d take the silver before the black version.

I checked them out in the store. I would never consider the titanium black version. It looks cheap and appears to blemish easily. The silver version looks a lot better. The stainless steel silver looks too shiny for my liking but the black looks real nice. I don’t own an Apple Watch but considering the stainless steel black and not the titanium. That looked the best imo. The aluminum versions look really cheap. I don’t understand why apple does that.

Anyone worried about scratching on the titanium ?
The test model they had in the store today had seriously 2 major scratches on it already just from one day. I couldn’t believe it

I’m not worried, you have to remember that it being the new material on the block, there are some azzhls out there who will try to damage store merchandise.

You have no idea what tool they brought, or how hard they had to work to create those scratches. I bet my spring loaded center punch could put a serious divot in any of the cases, including ceramic.

There is no excuse for that kind of vandalism, and in my state that’s a felony due to the value being over $500

Not sure why you are under the assumption it was vandalism. The titanium models are locked up in a drawer unlike the other models that are just sitting out. You have to have an employee pull it out to show it to you. Highly doubt that someone could intentionally damage the watch in front of an employee.

I noticed some blemishes on the black version like the color was rubbing out from the dial. That turned me off completely. For the price it should be more durable.

Why wouldn’t I make that assumption ? Some people are azzhles and a new case material is a target for some to try to scratch them.

Didn't know they were locked away. Would have been helpful for you to have shared that detail, as not everyone went to an Apple store today.

Saw them in store. Imo there’s too much trying to convince yourself that titanium is worthwhile. The ss look better.

I do like the idea of edition where you get something extra along with AppleCare. Just seems like the ones who buy SS and up should be getting more.

hmmm.... I appreciate the pictures but personally in my opinion, the Stainless Steel-lugged Milanese Loop still sticks out too much on that.

I'm very much considering upgrading to Titanium myself from my Stainless Steel, but I would then have to acknowledge I would be giving up my direct compatability with the 3 Classic Buckle bands I have (which may not actually be a huge issue for me - I've been using them quite less recently and gotten more into Sports Loops).

The Leather Loop might be a good alternative to dress up the Titanium in a fancy manner as it doesn't have lugs ah wait no no, that one discriminates against people that have 40mm, so not an option for me :(

Would be helpful to get clarity on the scratch resistance of the Black Titanium. I received my SBSS Hermes and will receive the Black Titanium on Monday. One will go back. Leaning towards the newer look with the Titanium, as my S4 is a SBSS. But would hate if the Titanium scratches easily, as the SBSS looks like new after a year and so would the Hermes in SBSS.

You should probably repeat yourself again, for the third time, on the same page. we get it, you don't like the titanium because you are worried it will scratch easily based on your 6 seconds looking at it in the store. Got it. Move on and enjoy whatever you end up with!

Could anyone share some more pics of the regular titanium with Milanese loop? Would appreciate some shots in both natural light and bright light situations. Thanks in advance.

I brought a classic buckle with me as I checked out the new Watches and was also allowed to put it on a Titanium Watch. Honestly, it‘s a non-issue. It looks just fine. In pictures it always looks worse because you see the lug part much bigger than IRL. Btw I‘m definitely picky like you. Stainless lugs on silver aluminium Watches look horrible to me. But the Titanium is much shinier and the stainless lug blends in just fine. I have 11 classic buckle bands and will definitely get the silver Titanium – if I decide the always-on display is reason enough for me to upgrade from the S4 (not sure about that yet).

Having spent the last 24 hours with a Space Black Titanium here are my thoughts.

Finish - darker than space grey aluminum for sure. It is Matte Black for all intents and purposes. Under bright light the matte finish diffuses the light a bit and it may appear dark grey. Brushed finish can smudge but has been roughly as easy to keep clean as my S4 SBSS. No experience with hardiness yet (no scratches).

Weight - didn’t notice a significant difference.

Band matching - I wear the SB Link bracelet almost exclusively and it matches perfectly with the brushed finished of the link bracelet.
