To Caudabe or not to Caudabe!

Man WTF is this…they updated their shipping info again, this time pushing the popular colors from 2nd week of October to Mid-October!

Mind you when I ordered on 9/13 iPhone 17 Pro Max Gray Sheath, they originally had it at late-September, then pushed to 2nd week of October, and now Mid-October.

I hope this latest delay only affects new customers that ordered within the past week or so. Only reason I haven’t cancelled and waiting it out is cuz I’ve read a lot of positives about the Sheath, so this is will be my first time using it, but I’ve already read reports of people complaining the latest Sheath buttons rattle too much 😬

Caudabe are really starting to frustrate customers.

Been trying to cancel an order for nearly a week now, had a reply just delaying it asking me why I wanted to cancel and if I wanted to change the color etc. If I wanted to change color I'd have asked! Just cancel my damn order...

On r/caudabe someone finally got a base 17 Paragon - first base model I’ve seen in the wild. Hopefully mine will ship someday soon. Status on the base models are always absent in Caudabe’s updates.
 
I have my 16 Pro Max installed in the Sheath case, Blue with Red buttons. I have the Paragon, but I did not like the smooth finish it had. I am very pleased with the Sheath.
 
According to them, iPhone 17 Pro Max Sheath in gray is shipping now, even though they said it would be Mid-October. Ordered mine on 9/13, but haven’t received shipping notifications yet, so those who ordered earlier may be on the lookout in your email notifs!

My Blue Sheath Precise which I ordered on 9/9/25 still did not move and only a standard reply from Caudabe Support.

Besides that I ordered a Synthesis Frost last Sunday and this should arrive today.

Hope all’s well. Our iPhone 17 collection has been our most successful launch yet, and we owe that to you. We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing support we’ve received from our customers over the years.

That said, we also apologize deeply for the delay. This has been an incredibly challenging time for our team, but we're working as hard as we can to get your order to you as soon as possible. For the very latest updates, we've created a shipping updates page on our self-service portal. This page also contains a new spreadsheet that details the shipping status for every iPhone 17 series product we offer. You'll be able to more easily track the shipping status for your particular item(s).

To summarize the major reasons for the delay:
  • Demand for our products is the highest we've ever experienced in our 13-year history, which is creating a backlog of orders we're working through. We began fulfilling preorders on September 22nd and continue to expedite orders as fast as possible every single day
  • There have been production and logistics delays due to Super Typhoon Ragasa - the strongest storm on record this year - which impacted our factory partners and our shipping carriers. That has led to delays in fulfilling orders and transferring inventory to our other distribution centers
  • There was a week-long national holiday from October 1st to October 7th where our Asia warehouse is located. Our shipping carriers were not operating at this time, so this also impacted our ability to transfer inventory to our other distribution centers.

^^ thanks for the link, that spreadsheet is the first time Caudabe has posted an update that has information on all iPhone models.

I got that same e-mail over the weekend.

I found it ridiculous they took a month to even send out a mass e-mail update.I ordered on 9/12. Late October/early November is ridiculous.

Lucky it wasn't my only case, and I had others on deck before receiving my phone. This will probably be my last Caudabe.

I've never had this issue with Nomad, Decoded, Spigen, Pitaka....

Just received my celestial blue sheath. Great case, but have a quick question about the fit - Does anyone else’s sheath have some give between power and camera control buttons? When you squeeze there, you can feel the case creak a bit.

One of the camera cutout holes is also unfinished, but this creak bothers me more than that. It’ll be Christmas by the time Caudabe gets back to me about a replacement. The whole case industry is a **** show this year lol.

Similar. Black Sheath. My 17PM is orange and a little bit of the perimeter of the screen shows next to the volume and power buttons. I don’t mind if the perimeter shows all around, or not at all. But just showing a little tells me it’s not a good fit.

Equally, the volume buttons rattle and the magnet strength isn’t great. I think I’m going to return it.

That’s a total bummer. Luckily, on my sheath, the fit is on point minus that creak.

I had a similar issue like yours with my mous and it went right back.
