The capture button cutout on my Sheath is sharp, loose feeling and just plain uncomfortable. My Synthesis I haven't been able to use as the metal Magsafe ring on the inside is sticking up and is very sharp :( I feel this might scratch the back of my phone so I'm not using it. Back into the Apple silicone.

This review (jump to 5:36 second mark for Caudate) doesn't show the case in a good light when it comes to wear. I hope my Sheath doesn't have this issue!

The Synthesis is his top 3 case 🙌 My Synthesis Eucalyptus back does not show wear and tear like his, but I don’t clock in the usage he does 😂

I am team Synthesis. Check my recent posts on why.

What the heck is going on with Caudabe? I feel like they’ve lost their edge in both quality and customer service this past couple of years.

Beats me. I haven’t had any issues with customer service or product quality. Both my 16PM Sheath and Synthesis have been great. The camera control button, or the little I’m using of it, feels fine to me. I appreciate how it’s sloped on one side. No problems at all using it.

They’re a lot more popular than they used to be a few years ago so maybe that’s what’s happening.

I'm in the same boat. I got my Sheath and Synthesis last week. I'm keeping the Sheath and am undecided on whether I'm keeping the Synthesis. The Sheath has been amazing so far. It's the perfect case. Enough has been said about it already so I don't have anything to add. The metal buttons are definitely a nice touch. I have no problems using the camera control button with the cutout on either Sheath or Synthesis.

I'm also liking the Synthesis. It's a great case. It does show scuffs more easily than the Sheath, but I was using it with my MagSafe chargers and wallet and it was fine so I'm not too concerned about long term use. The Sheath just takes the cake for me this year for overall feel.
I agree. I’m keeping both, but the Sheath will be my main case. There are times I like the Synthesis better. The grips on the side are a nice plus.

Ditto. Happy customer here too, but it wouldn't be Macrumors without a lot of b*tching, would it!

So I've found myself using the CC button more than I thought I would. I don't NEED it, but I do enjoy it. I don't know how often I'll use it long term, but I could see people getting used to it as an app launcher for the camera. Do I wish my Sheath had a button instead of a cutout? Sure, I guess? But, ironically, I'm really enjoying this year's Sheath. I don't know if it's the addition of the metal buttons or what, but it feels like the case was meant to be paired with my phone if that makes any sense.

Got around to taking a few pics of the Sheath on the phone.

Went with Mous as my first case and it’s an excellent case as usual except for that huge missing chunk where the camera button is supposed to be. Can’t understand why Mous wouldn’t just use a regular size cut out if they weren’t going to use a camera button. Funny thing is design and fit wise this is their best case to date and I’ve been using them since like 2017. IMO it totally ruined what would be an excellent the case.

Waiting on the Sheath to arrive this week to replace it. First time trying it based on the reviews in here. Thanks for the recommendations.

My parcel is lost or damaged.

Courier asked me contact Caudabe lol.
Mine got lost as well. Contacted Caudabe and they sent another new replacement. Supposed to be here Friday. What a **** show. Synthesis was suppose to be here for launch day. I had to grab a $20 silicone case to hold me over in the meantime time since Friday. 👎

Must be a common theme....mine got lost too. CS did respond to my email and were supposed to resend both cases but haven't heard anything back confirming it was shipped.

It’s interesting that the buttons are offset closer to the front, which makes it appear as if they made the back thicker (perhaps to prevent the MagSafe bump?). Has anyone weighed the 16 Sheath to compare with the 15 Sheath? Wondering if it’s heavier…

I've had no issues either with product quality. The Sheath I received this morning seems perfect, no Magsafe indentation, camera button cut-out seems fine, inside case all intact etc. Some must be dreadfully unlucky, especially if they've had issues with 2 cases of 2 different models. I've had 3 Sheaths from Caudabe over the years and they've always been on par.

Is yours lost or just in a van with no ETA? Mine was in the country on Thursday last week with the same orange delay message as yours and then suddenly this morning it arrived. I was in my office out in the garden and checked the app and was surprised it said 'delivered' and there it was on the mat.

It’s definitely a thicker case compared to a 13 Pro Max Sheath. I just did a comparison and it’s about 1mm thicker but isn’t the iPhone thicker too? I’m not sure.

13 Pro Max on the left and 16 Pro Max on the right.

I just saw TT’s review and the new Sheath is 50 grams, so 4 grams heavier that last year’s. That’s the same as the Nomad Rugged and slightly less than the Phone Rebel. Surprisingly heavy for a minimalist case.

Yeah that’s why I kind of paused in the video because in my mind I thought that was heavier. I don’t think you can really feel the difference but I’m going to ask why it’s a little heavier than before.
