Express checkout

I found it at the apple store website under acct settings.

Enable Express Checkout

With this feature enabled, a green "Buy Now" button will become visible on eligible product pages, giving you the option to "express checkout" an item directly from that page using your previously-saved payment and default shipping information. This allows you to skip the shopping cart process completely; simply enter your password to confirm your purchase.

I hope this is the case when it's released. when it comes to pre-order, I feel as everything goes out the window and all hell breaks loose.

How do you turn on the express pay on the apple store app? I do not have that option in the app anywhere or under account settings..... Do you have to manually toggle it on? If so, how the hell do you do it??

I think it was deleted with the last Apple Store app update. I am turning it on on the website but after I log out it seems to automatically turn off. Not even sure turning it on on the apple web site helps with the Apple Store app.

Any ideas?

When you guys say the billing and shipping address has to match, you mean the address of the card that you're using to pay correct? Not your carrier's billing info?

Please help!! I am ordering a gold 64 6 plus from Apple online at 12am. I was going to use an Apple GF for the full amount of the phone. It will cost over $900 with CA tax. I have enough on the GC to pay for it but I was wondering if it would be better to put it on a CC and then return and rebuy with the GC when I get it at the Apple Store. It's like spending cash online and in the event something happened with it during shipping or even if something happened with going missing instore for instore pick-up which I'm sure will be a madhouse on launch day.

I would have no protection unlike a credit card in the event something happened to my phone on delivery.

What would you experts suggest? It's a lot of money if that phone goes missing.

Very few go missing. Very few. If that happens you should be able to make a claim with who ever the courier that was supposed to deliver it is. Most missing deliveries are lies from the recipient looking to pull a fast one and get a free iPhone. These companies wouldn't be in business or have contracts with the likes of Apple if packages had a tendency to just vanish. These days door to door tracking is too sophisticated to allow that to happen.

Hey guys, I just called Apple in regards to this. My wife is currently away on business and I called to ask if I would be A) able to split the shipment and if not B) if I could place two orders to two different addresses despite it not being my service address. He, his name was Carl, said that it didn't matter what my service address was and that I could ship it to anywhere in the US. Somewhat of a surprise to me, as I know we've all experienced the opposite before, but hopefully this proves true for us all.

EDIT: went to reconfirm via chat and was told that it will only ship to your carrier's listed billing address. Sorry for the misinformation guys

One suggestion, UPDATE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS NOW. I can't tell you how many threads I've read over the years when the new iPhone gets released, everyone is at work and it's being mailed to their home or it's they'll be out of town and it's being mailed to where no one will be.

Remember, a signature is required and I would suggest you get it mailed somewhere you will be available (no potty breaks when you see "out for delivery") or mail it somewhere so it can be signed for.

It would actually be good practice to update everything on your profile with apple.com or wherever you plan on ordering the new iPhone when it becomes available.

I've since updated all address (apple.com, credit card and carrier) to show my work address to ensure I would have no hiccups. I would also suggest if you're changing your address for this alone, do it a few days before pre-order is available (I did it now).

I don't want any casualties on my watch.

carry on.

:apple:

Great advice!
(but, one thing: 'potty' breaks? Unless I'm missing something - potties are what small children use as instead of a toilet…)
